Bosch Undermount Dishwasher - Will It Fit Our Space

Looking for some help on a Bosch dishwasher About to purchase and just wanting to make sure it's going to fit in the space we have.
Bosch Model is the SMU8ZCS01A
https://www.bosch-home.com.au/en/mkt-product/dishwashing/und…

This is a couple of photos of the opening we have and dimensions of dishwasher.

To give some perspective, our benchtop is 900mm to the top of the benchtop, however it also has a small strip of cabinetry underneath (pretty sure this is standard but can't for the life of me remember if our old home had it). It's held on by a small bracket and a couple of screws(Measuring from floor to the bottom of the lip is 850mm)

The width of the opening is 600m at the front (you can see that its like a border in line with the cupboards) and once you pass that initial section the width of the opening is wider again

Looking at the Bosch specs it says height of the dishwasher can be between 815-875mm so I imagine that it will be fine but just wanted some reassurance I guess that I'm interpreting it correctly.

Any help is appreciated

It will fit perfectly. You may need some kick panel to cover the base or does it come with a cover if required?

Ask the cabinet maker/installers to create a couple of hole saw cutouts to the left of the cavity for water inlet and drain hoses.

Bosch dishwshers come with an adjustable kickplate

  • yes will fit.
You have approximately 840mm height after you get the flooring down.

if youre spending 2.3k on a dishwasher, buy an this asko instead.

The bosch does not have the greatest space inside, the asko is massive inside.

  • Thanks guys, put my mind at ease.

MS Paint - Yep from all the videos ive seen it comes with a metal kick panel to cover the base part which attatches to the bottom strip. Builder will be installing so will remind them where to put the cut-outs for the power and inlet hoses, pretty good that they are recessed on the unit as well.

Far Cough - Thanks will also check out the Asko, but was leaning towards the Bosch as the other kitchen apliances will be the same. Its currenlty on special $1832 - $100 instant discount which brings it down to $1732 and then i got email for extra $80 voucher which will bring it down to $1652. Not sure i can justify the extra $550 for the Asko.

    • I recommend going to your local appliance reseller with your largest plates, pots, glasses, and chopping board and trying both.

I think this is just a sanity check.

the dishwasher can be adjusted from 815-875 depending on the feet. so 6cm of play.

The maximum height required is 850mm. So you just lower the feet to halfway (probably that from the factory)

    • Your not wrong haha

do I have to do everything for you?

Heres the exact model for $1554 so $100 less. BTW, the difference between the two model is immaterial - its just Bosch trying to charge us more for "latest" model.

        • Unfortunately not longer available for Vic, would have been a decent deal considering.
Will keep an eye on the same website.

          Thanks! Just bought it.
I have been waiting for this exact model to go on sale and was hoping to get it for around 1700. $1554 is a bargain!
(BTW, SMU8ZCS01A has higher energy rating and the newer feature of zeolite for better drying while the SMU8ECS01A has the auto opening door feature. I wanted the zeolite so am happy ).
