$408 delivery for me, kills the deal for sure.

  • Looks good but the price on website is $1179 not $1061. You'd want to get the bench too, which is an extra $500.

    https://olijoy.com.au/products/premium-grade-heavy-duty-adju…

I wonder how difficult it is to assemble. You definitely want to make sure to put the right bolts in the right holes! I went through a similar process with another brand. Spent around $1600, no regrets.

    • Which one did you get?

      • I got the Ironmaster Portable Lat Machine. Not a smith machine and doesn't come with weights. I added the low-row foot plate attachment and weights.

I already owned an Ironmaster Super Bench from years ago - solid quality, compact, versatile, heaps of attachments. In total I've spent maybe 2 grand including super bench and attachments for that - crunch and incline seat.

        • You could have gotten something like this instead? - https://www.amazon.com.au/CORTEX-Multi-Functional-Trainer-Ma…

Would have been a complete home gym with a bench added.

          • @John Doh: I'm happy with what I got, it's awesome. Maybe you can get the Amazon one? Doesn't come with bench or weights so you'll be spending a lot more than 2 grand.

            • @cerealJay: I am actually thinking of it and a used bench or a used entire system off gumtree, but I am still thinking if I will even workout at home. Going to the gym has that special effect. Previously i got bars/dumbells etc but never used them at home. I see many people selling for this very reasson, that if its there at home you dont use it.

              • @John Doh: Go to gym then! Your choice. It's only $900 per year membership. :-)

I just checked reviews for your Amazon smith machine, and I would avoid that. Very bad reviews, such as "poor assembly instructions" - the exact thing I warned about in my first post. This equipment needs to be perfectly assembled otherwise you're putting yourself at risk. Another person complained about poor quality welds and poor quality steel. One guy took a week to assemble it! Sounds like a nightmare. Get something better. If you go gumtree, just hope all the pieces are there - every bolt, every washer, none stripped.

Yes shipping certainly kills it unless local

    Good price for locals

  • That 38KG weight stack is too small, spend some more and get a better one, this is useless. Even if you load extra plates(Those loading bars are narrow as well), no guarantee those pulleys can hold for long.
