Free 30ml Moisturiser (Nov 8-14), Free 15ml Soothing Serum with US$25 (Nov 15-21) + Shipping ($0 with $30 Spend) @ The Ordinary

The annual Slowvember 23% off sale is on, but I was waiting for the free gift promotions to start before placing my order. According to this reddit source, The Ordinary will start offering free gifts with purchase on Nov 8 2pm AEST. You can use this info to plan your purchases for the month. In case the reddit source is removed, see copied image.

Even though the image is meant for the US store, the Slowvember free gift with purchase offers were the same globally in previous years.

Nov 8-14: Free 30ml Moisturiser of Your Choice

The first offer is a free 30ml size moisturiser of your choice. The three types are:

Nov 15-21: Free 15ml Soothing & Barrier Support Serum With US$25 Spend

This serum usually only sold at 30ml size , I guess 15ml is worth 1/2 of $22.41 which is $11.21. This is useful when your skin is irritated or red. It has 2% niacinamide.

Nov 22-27: Free 15ml Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (with Ceramides) with US$50 Spend, Free Shipping no Min Spend

The Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 - 15ml is worth $6.12. Hardly worth spending US$50 for. But I guess the secondary free shipping with mo minimum spend is useful for those who want to spend under A$30.

Nov 29 - Dec 7: Free Pouch with US$50 Spend, Free Shipping no Min Spend

Umm, not very useful unless you really like the merch…

  • The wrestlers get all the fancy ladies, and the clothes, and the fancy creams and lotions. But my life is good.

Not that exciting. I'll go for the travel size moisturiser.

Yes, a bit disappointing. Same, thinking of getting the free 30ml NMF + Phytoceramides moisturiser since I haven't tried it before. Probably be good for the dry cabin air on flights.

      • Any thoughts on regular rose hip oil vs fermented? Asking the expert! Thanks for OP and info.

        • I switched to oils a few months ago. I use organic rosehip (bought from iherb) am and pm and also put in on my scalp. I havent needed to use a face moisturiser for approx 3 months now. Hair appears to be thicker and not falling out as much as it was before.

But i also wash my hair and face only with filtered water now, so that could also be a reason why skin and hair has improved.

        • Sorry I haven't used the fermented one myself, but someone has asked the same question in the product FAQ:

Q: So you say that fermented Rosehip oil is better then original?

Hi! Our original 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil improves skin elasticity and suppleness while providing instant hydration.
Our 100% Fermented Rose Hip Seed Oil, enhanced through fermentation, offers all these benefits and more. Its refined molecular structure boosts absorption and helps prevent irritation that can lead to premature aging. It further reduces redness, fine lines, and wrinkles, while strengthening the skin barrier for a smoother, firmer, and more radiant complexion.

Reading that, I would say that unless you have irritated/sensitised or aging skin, the normal one should be fine.

The annual Slowvember 23% off sale is on,

The coincidence with NNN is funny.

  • Arent these the USA gifts

    • The image is for the US, but in the past the Slowvember offers were global. My friend got the same free gift offers in the Deciem store in Hong Kong.

Edit: I expect the US$ amount for min spend would be adjusted to AUD when it goes live

  • Ahhhh I already ordered and got my delivery today!
    Oh well, great product.
Keen to try out my new eye serum.

  • USA only?

  • whats a good stack for mens skin? combination to dry

  • Official summary here including Deciem

    • Thanks. Just note that that is a third-party site, not official - but generally reliable and has a lot of useful product info. The site has affiliate links too.

      • Oh thanks I didn't realize

Anyone else seemingly unable to get the free moisturizer? Can't figure out how.

    • +2

Yeah not sure either. No prompts popping up at checkout.

  • I'm assuming this isn't happening in Australia. Nothing on the site.

  • +9

It's on now, just one hour late

Add any item to your cart and a pop-up will appear to allow you to choose your free 30ml moisturiser

      • We are trying to figure this out. Removed the items that were in the cart. Trying to add the items again to check the pop up is appearing.

        And… its popping up!!

  • Hi, I ordered in November not knowing more freebie offers are coming. Can I return my purchase to rebuy to claim the gift?
