Last year I used the dining credit in Australia between January and the renewal date in August.
But it looked like the wording of the terms indicated it could be used in 2024 (Aug-Dec) and 2025 (Jan-Aug), so 2 x $200 (same for overseas too which I ended up losing out on). Or with the current renewed card, if I rush to use it before December does that mean I have used it all up until next August renewal date, or will it indeed be available again from January?

Dining credit is annual on a calendar year, nothing to do with renewal date.
So if you haven't used it this year, you can use it now and will have it available again in Jan.
this is correct. Can't double dip in the same calendar year between renewal dates but you can lose out if you don't renew your card, i.e, renewal date in October but you didnt use your credit and you don't renew your card, bad luck.

Correct - regardless of renewal status, if you have used it this year, you can't get another credit until next year.
Of course the domestic and international credits are separate, so using one doesn't affect the other.
