one difference I noticed between the Kings 20L and the XTM 22L, is the handles on the Kings 20 are sticking out making it much easier to carry. (and weirdly Kings Escape 30, 40, 50 all have flush handles like XTM, and the Escape 65 gets those floppy outside handles).
saw a recent youtube review of a different fridge, they said they hated the flush handles like on the XTM 22L. because they go in, they are very shallow, can only fit your finger tips in making it difficult to hold the weight and carry (especially true if you have big man fingers).
other than that I noticed the XTM doesn't have that shelf area. I like that. the Kings with the shelf area there above the compressor, apparently it doesn't get nearly as cool there. just not a good spot right above the compressor which would warm that area up because heat rising.

Yeah, that is what my Stayzcool has and its kinda annoying when I used to take it out. I don't anymore, the XTM 40L is my portable fridge now.

the reviewer I watched actually preferred the floppy handles, to the other handles. I guess it depends on the person.

but saw a few reviews on the cheaper small kings ones, and they said that shelf is always higher temperature than the rest of the fridge (deeper area).
maybe your Stayzcool has a extra coil? there that cools it. but to me it seemed like the cheaper small ones don't (similar to Alpicool/Setpower's) where because that area is higher in the fridge, and is above the compressor, it's consistently warmer there then the rest of the fridge.
it's a bit confusing for newbies i think because you would think the "small" area is colder than the big area, due to freezer areas usually being smaller in house bar/fridges.

forgot to mention I'm talking about "cheaper" ones that only have a single lid, and a shelf inside. if you have dual lid/zone it might be different.

Any difference between this XTM unit vs the Brass Monkey brand you get from Jaycar?
most of them all come out of the same factory. Alpicool/Setpower clones.
People seem to rate the Brass Monkey stuff pretty highly. I was going to possible get one but ended with a Kings Stayzcool because of the Warranty and size.
Brass monkey seem solid and have lots of functions (battery, dual zone, Bluetooth solar) but their insulation seems thin hence is why the chew threw a bit of power.
The others seem to better insulated but have less functions. But YMMVFor a moment I thought it was $1…
Checked my local BCF in NSW and still showing $199 so maybe just this shop?
Supercheap has had the Fridges on clearance for a couple of weeks now. I think there is a new model coming.
It some cases, they look same same. BCF/Supercheap XTM is probably easier for any warranty items compared to 4WD Supacentre/Kings who sometimes can be painful.
I bought a XTM 40L fridge and cover recently. Got the Fridge for $220 with 20% Supercheap discount during Bathurst, then $50 for the cover. Its been working great, using it all this week for work and its a Fridge for when we take the wife's car.
I've got a Kings 60L Stayzcool in the ute and its been great for over 12 months.
