32GB (2x16) DDR4 DIMM RAM

Edit - all sorted.

Have recently rebuilt the PC it for Plex, Home Assistant and a some other apps hosted on Proxmox and would like to up the RAM from 16GB.

Seems my 11Gen Aorus Pro does not like all 4 DIMM slots filled. Even with identical model numbers. Two sets of extra RAM both tested bed earlier this year so they were returned and my lastest effort on the weekend had the box shutting down after a week's use and then not booting at all with 4 DIMMs, even after Memtest passed them.

I'm in Sydney this week so thought I might try and pick something up if there's a bargain to be had.
Best I can find is $140-$150 for some Silicon Power and Kingbank.

Thanks.

2x modules for dual-channel mode will provide better memory transfer performance.

You may have some bent cpu socket pins affecting use of the additional slots.

      Have amended the title.
I was running all 4 slots fine for about a year before Windows started BSODing earlier this year. One of the new sticks failed Memtest and I've been stuck with the issue ever since. I did a full upgrade midyear so the 11gen gear got parked until I moved my Proxmox to it a week or so ago.

  • Fanxiang sells Fanxiang RGB DDR4 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) for $142.99 on their eBay store. It might be cheaper if you combined it with TopCashback's $5 Bonus offer for eBay.

    It's just your standard 3200mhz CL18 module.

Yes, can't believe how little I paid previously.

    • Thanks. Tried to buy it last week and says there's no stock during the checkout.

  • As another option, have you considered upgrading/replacing the motherboard, to utilise the 4 sticks of ram you already have?

Given ram costs currently, could be cheaper/similar cost
