Grocery Run is having a good price on 1kg of Vanilla Whey Protein Isolate (15% hydrolysed). Compared to a few of the places quite a good price for those who only need 1KG and want to try something different. I have compared prices with Whey Protein Isolate to a few other companies below.

It contains:

25.6g p/serve Hydrolysed Whey Protein Isolate 81% protein: NOTE hydrolised only at 15% (di- and tri- peptides)

    Unflavored or what?

    • Looks like vanilla flavoured.

    Groceryrun = COTD?
Anyone know the delivery time? 1 month? 2 months? Never?

    • If you don't like COTD, don't buy.

      • I won't :D

      • I've never experienced any issues with the Grocery Run support team. The turn around time is usually 1 week and in the past any dramas I've had I've been offered refunds within the week.

    Expect to pay $98.95! lol

  • Worries me when you cant find the product on the GNC website. Searched through the protein powders and word searched for nitro - No results!

    • Have a look at my link it was up earlier :)

  • Any reviews for this?

    It's expiring.

  • Ingredient panel has leucine in it. Your post says free from Leucine.

Its been years since i was silly enough to purchased GNC protein (although i cant remember the model)
Cheap and nasty stuff, dunno if they have improved since.

Good bang for buck protein is the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey

+1 for ON Gold Standard, is GNC really that bad?
This stuff isn't cheaper than what I can get the same amount of ON GS for so I'm not going to buy it :)

      • It really is…

  • Sorry misread your post.. free form not free from

  • Check out Bulk Nutrients. Great product, no BS advertising.

    • Nah fk that, ON GS from Vitacost is still good $37 delivered.
Bulk nutrients you need to add in delivery costs.

      • I thought protein powders were delayed/seized by customs a lot, do you usually get it in?

        • +1

I've got all in for now - http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis/faqs
1 order possibly delayed but 6 have come through so far.. I expect the postie just got lazy on friday :)
2nd last point has all the info you need

I have no idea who spreads this kind of misinformation, I'm guessing Australian supplement retailers desperate to scare customers in to buying locally at exuberant prices.

        • Had no problems in the past, got protein bars, canisters of whey, 44 packets of pills (Universal Nutrition Animal Pak), Jack3d (before the DMAA ban) and Craze (After Jack3d got banned…) through customs without a hitch, both through post and at the airport.

Only item I they ever denied me was a keyring which they claim contained 'plantlike substance'… =/

  • Holy dog balls where does that RRP come from? $98 RRP for less than 1kg of protein? And GNC none the less, a brand I trust less than… well I can't think of another brand I trust less.

5kg of ON Gold Standard, shipped from Vitacost comes to under $150 delivered, or 980g of ON Gold Standard is $35 delivered.

    • Actually it's 4.545kg, and its $155.89USD delivered (less $10 if you use a new account + referral code, they don't usually check anyway).
      Also I think you mean 943g, 2.07lb not 2.17lb :)

  • lol @ anyone still on ON GS flavours. worst flavouring system.

    • +1

      Which ones have you tried?
I found mocha cappuccino to be awesome.

      • Mocha Cappuccino was the best! Until I moved onto Scivation Chocolate Whey….

Now I'm using No Bull Whey Choc-Coconut WPI, Bounty Bar flavoured drink FTW!

    In before Essendon FC.

  • Venom Protein is actually much cheaper - $105 for 4kg ($26.25 / kg) Plus you get free delivery - Use this code..

    http://venomprotein.com.au/catalog/channel10.php

    • The venom protein thread doesn't have undisputed rep like ON though :|

  • -3

I think the reason this is on special this is due to an order cancellation from Essendon fc

  • if you don't have it quiet often than this is cheap , but if your regular gym going person and you want WPI I'd say buy in bulk from bulknutrients , protein n more or no bull supps. Works out to be less than this.

  • I saw a 25kg bag of whey protein at a horse shop for cheap. Is this doable for a dedicated ozbargainer?

Mine arrived today - it is the worst tasting protein I have ever had in my life

    AVOID

  • +2

Mine arrived a few days ago, just had a shake. This protein is possibly the worst tasting I have ever had.

It is disgusting and tastes like chemicals.
