    Agree if it's a telegraphic transfer. OP needs to give more info. They definitely don't do cash and I'm pretty sure they don't do cheques.

  Casino, surprisingly might be able to do better if it's a few hundred in notes…

  Places like Travelex etc do not give good rates. They also charge commission usually. They are usually +/-5% from the spot price. Better "hole in the wall" dealers (e.g. in Asia) will be of the order of +/-1%.

  If it's only a few hundred dollars worth, the difference might be $10 or $20 though so not really worth the hassle.

  Also your local bank might do an OK rate. It would likely be better than Travelex.

  I read somewhere that Flight Centre Travel Money outlets gives you quite good exchange rates. I was looking to change some money before my trip end of last year. I didn't use one though unfortunately because I couldn't find a branch near me.

  On a separate note, I have found currencyonline.com gives you a much better rates than ozforex.com.au. I transferred converted NZD20000 to AUD and the difference was about $60.

  Perhaps try http://www.kvbkunlun.com/en/index.aspx they always seem to give the best rates.

  The post office.No fees/commissions,good rate and you get it the next day if you order it by midday (otherwise the day after that).I've done this many times and it's been brilliant.
