NSW - Free Western Sydney Wanderers Football with Trade-in at NRMA

110

Trade-in an old ball for a new NRMA Western Sydney Wanderers football (soccer ball). You can trade in any ball - rugby, soccer, afl etc. Available at all Wanderers home games at Parramatta Stadium and at selected NRMA branches. According to the website the participating branches are at:

Penrith Plaza
Westpoint Blacktown
Westfield Parramatta
Stockland Prairiewood
Westfield Liverpool
Centro Bankstown
Burwood
Macarthur Square Campbelltown

However I know Richmond NRMA is also participating because that's where I got mine from.

I traded in an old soccer ball which wasn't pumped up but the lady said it was fine. The Wanderers ball is red and black with WSW logo, NRMA logo, and "Bringing your football back" written on it. I think it runs until the end of the A-League season in April.

  • How about a tennis ball?

  • Are they flimsy synthetic balls or decent ones you could use in an actual game?

    • It seems ok to me. Probably no better than the $5-$10 ones from Big W or Kmart though.

      • That's the price range I would class them in, ~$10.

  • ping pong ball?

    Testicle?

    • Don't think so. Basketball/netball/volleyball is probably ok.
But you could always give it a go. :)

    • only if they are detachable

This actually started way back in November last year. I managed to trade in 2 old-ish soccer balls which were still perfectly usable as you have to keep in mind that the balls you trade in are going to those who aren't as lucky as us to have them.

I'll go buy a .50 cent tennis ball from those discount stores and trade it in. WIN!

just get a white balloon and get a black marker to draw the soccer patches on it and trade it in! ;)

  • Interesting, sounds like a decent deal.
