Ad-free angry birds rio for android is free at amazon this feb. the hd kindle tablet version is free as well. Don't know if it works on non-kindle tablets, though.

  Like others here, my Amazon App account was established with a US address. Is that the problem, or is it complaining that my browser is connected from Australia?

  I get a "Please check that your billing address and payment method are from a supported country" error message :(

  I had to log in with a US-based VPN on my android tablet to get my amazon app to download apps when I get that error, but recently it has been allowing me to 'purchase' apps with my windows computer's web browser without any VPN.

  Edit: I use a fake us address and credit card.

  I get the same message "Please check that your billing address and payment method are from a supported country" registered in Aus. Which country is this supposed to be free in? Now I'll have to remove the Amazon App app :(

  Would assume HD Kindle version is not available for non-Kindle tablets as my Transformer Prime says not compatible. Oh well.

  It's free on the Apple App Store as well. I got it last night.
