13

Hi Guys,

For today and tomorrow only - until 5pm on 19/02/13, we will be holding a Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm group buy, in Brisbane only.
This is only available to friends, a select group of customers and you guys - ozbargain users,
hence why this has not been posted on our site.

This deal is cost price for us, we will not be making any profits off this group buy.
1x copy of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm = $40
2+ copies of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm = $39 each

Full direct payment is required before 5pm on 19/02/13 in order to qualify and I only have space for 20 buyers.
The game will then be available on release date in Brisbane city (before any other shops open), I will be available to hand it to you personally.

If you would like to join the group buy / forward your expression of interest, please email me - [email protected] (preferably before 4:30pm - so your order can be finalised).

Thanks in advance,

Mike

"hence why this has not been posted on our site."
    Scam inc?

Ehhh.. It's $44 right now at HN. Not really good enough to fork over money now.

  • +9

It's not a big issue, but it seems a bit strange to say you're only charging cost price, yet there's a different price based on how many the customer orders…

  • +3

you can buy it directly from blizzard for $44.95 peace of mind knowing ur buying it directly from the devs

  • +3

So.. is that saving of $1 per copy if I buy 2….. NEG

  • Hi guys,

@ Pandabargain, here is the link to the product on our site: http://tranzformit.com.au/products-page/software/games/starc…

You won't find it for the price offered here as everything on the site is processed through paypal = extra fees

@ CarbonTwelve, we're just offering as a promotion for the business name to show we are a reliable supplier.
The price difference is in the shipping we have to pay from the warehouse, e.g. its more expensive to have one item shipped to us, then it is to have 2, per unit.

@ mp3police, yes totally aware you can buy it from blizzard at this price, but you'll have to download the game and you won't have a hard copy.

@ matt777, As mentioned above, the saving is only in the shipping, as we aren't making any money off this we simply only can pass on the savings from shipping.

If you have any other questions please let me know, we are being fully transparent for this deal and unlikely to sell anything at cost price in the future.

    Cheers, Mike.

This makes no sense unless you get each of the 20 orders individually shipped to you as seperate shipments from the distributor.

If you get x amount of copies in one delivery how can the shipping price vary per unit?

Welcome to the world of drop shipping.

    Do you take western union?

    • +2

Put me down for 9 via Western Union

      How about Moneygram and Escrow?

Rep's answers seem fair to me.

+ve'd to balance out the negs, which seem a bit unfair.

He has ignored questions over the pricing discrepancy.

@pmupsinep - We are quoted the same shipping price regardless the number of quantities we order from the warehouse.
So the more orders we have, the cheaper per unit the shipping will be on each item.

We have made 2x copies cheaper then the one to encourage more people to buy (e.g. ask a friend) to help keep the shipping cost per unit down, and it is rare any consumer would purchase more then 2 copies.

As we do not yet know the number of copies we will be ordering it is difficult to calculate the exact shipping cost per unit.
If we get a large number of orders, the cost per unit will be cheaper and we will refund the cost saving back to our customers (which can be confirmed after the order is finalized).

We also will be throwing in a couple of Extra Free goodies for the first 8 people to order, to sweeten the deal:

1x Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Large Poster
    1x Tranzform I.T. Shadow MousePad

We would however prefer to trade with customers that have not been cynical towards this topic, as we are going out of our way to offer these goodies to customers willing to take up the offer in hope to improve the promotion of our business, not damage it.

    Thanks in advance, Mike.

    • Additionally we are using this as an opportunity to expand our 'gamer' customer base in Brisbane, for if we ever manage to hold any exclusive local events in the future, like LAN Parties, pre-release demos…etc.

with lines like that when people are simply asking questions, i can see your going to go a long way both on OzB and as a retail store……

        • Hi Nosdan, It was not directed at the people asking the questions, we are happy to answer any questions, it was referring to a select few making negative remarks without asking questions.
Again, questions are not problem and always happy to help with them.
