These are mini books, about 12cm by 7cm. Still great value, my kid loves em.

    • Ads i saw said they were 16cm x 12cm :)

The problem is that the page you've linked to doesn't include any information beyond the title. When publishers print the same book(s) in multiple formats and sizes the product page has to include this information.

Personally as Dr Seuss books are typically read to children, I much prefer the full size books.

These are the 164mm x 225mm size, if you search via the isbn other sites have the size. Kmart do have these on special occasionally but they always seem to sell out quickly. I order one from here http://www.bookworld.com.au/book/the-wonderful-world-of-dr-s…

      • I have confirmed with A&R they are definitely the small size. About 1/4 of the regular size.

  • Good deal; unfortunately my daughter already has a little over half those books.

    • well, these are about half the size of the normal books !!

      • +2

Yeh she could stick them together so she has the full size books.

      I mean the list. Smarty-pants.

  • Looking at past deals, it seems that they normally sell for $20 at Kmart. Having said that $21 including delivery is excellent for those that don't have a Kmart nearby!

Was that the hardcover though RandomNinja? We picked a set up from one of the previous Kmart deals, but they were the flimsier soft-covers.

      • Mine were hard-covers

Thanks to all those in the thread above me - Bargain!

        • thanks!!

  • Hoarders will lap this one up.

Do we have confirmation on the the size or is it assumption?

    • +1

I believe it is as aimon said - Ads i saw said they were 16cm x 12cm :)

      • I have this from when Kmart sold these and they are definitely a lot smaller than normal. Fine for adults to read for novelty value, though you'd probably want a larger version for small children to learn with.

Mods or OP, please put in the title that it appears to be the tiny pocket-sized versions of these books.

The size is not listed, but the case in the picture is the one I've seen on the 12cm x 16cm hardcover collection (about a quarter of the normal hardcover size most people have seen these in).

Still a good deal if you and your kids don't mind them being almost unreadably small (I do).

(There's no way for anyone but OP or a mod to warn people who don't read these comments, as that kind of downvote just gets revoked on OzBargain. Some people will be very disappointed).

    • Still a good deal if you and your kids don't mind them being almost unreadably small (I do).

My kids don't care, but some of the books send me looking for my fine-print reading glasses. Anyone under 40 should be OK :) Great books, and they fit on the shelf with the DVDs.

  • Done and done from bookworld. My nephew and niece will love them.

  • Is there a store in the CBD?

    • Depends on which city.
      Google should help you.

  • Great find. Got them via bookworld. Thanks to both for posting!

  • Thanks. Bought 2 for presents.

I need to stop visiting ozbargain.. damn you…

In the last few weeks, I've got band of brothers/pacific bluray, dr suess books, melb comedy festival tickets, windows backup software, $6k worth of hotels rooms…

  • Had a look at my copy, the price on the bottom says £99 so this is so cheap.

    • Is it the pocket-sized or full-sized ones?

      • Small sized books. Each a little hardback with paper slipcover.

    4 week delivery.

Was that with Angus and Robertson?

I ordered via bookworld and order confirmation mentioned:

"The Wonderful World Of Dr Seuss (9780007823505) Hardback
Inclusive of GST - Typically received in 7-10 working days after ordering"

p.s. Thankyou OP & for the useful OZB comments :)

      • Yeah, A&R. Waiting on a much needed math book for my son.

  • Cancelled my order after confirming with them that they were the small (about 1/4 of normal) size.

Must commend A&R on their service. Very prompt refund and response.

    • Can you confirm the exact size they told you?

      Thanks

      • Looking at the ISBN it is about 16x12x22 for the boxset

      • Exact quote from them was "1/4 of the normal size". I assumed the normal would be the size I grew up with. And too small for me to use as a gift for someone's kids.

  • Thanks OP and comments. Bought for $16.79 from Bookworld. Nice as a gift!

  • Arghhh I bought the original 20.99 a&r deal how can I cancel!!!!! Curse me !!

    • +1

It's $2.. get the hell over it.

      • Hehe. Good one :)

    • I'll take it off your hands!

  • Has anyone received their order from Bookworld?

  • OK….its the last time I shop at Angus and Robinson. When I purchased the books they were in stock with delivery in 3 to 7 days. 10 days later I got an email to say that the books were not in stock but would be in stock by end of March. Towards the end of March I contacted them again for an update and was told still not in stock until the end of the week which has now come and gone and no update on where the books were at. Today I have requested my order be cancelled and money refunded which to their credit they did straight away.

I just think as a company you want to be good at servicing your customers orders and not just be good at refunding their money.

I know when you rely on suppliers you can be let down however I purchased something that was indicated as being in stock. You either have the items in stock or they are on back order. In stock should be delivered in a reasonable time where as with a back order I would be prepared to wait.

  • Mine arrived this morning.. that only took nearly 2 months lol..
