Milsims is a good company to support, too.

Because? Sorry but Milsims were ripping everyone off big time until the smaller guys came ont he scene in Australia like Warchest (now on hold it seems) and Unhalfbricking. They were charging double and triple the US $ for items and only in the last 2-3 yrs they were forced into having reasonable prices. They are also a monopoly in this country in many ways and even burn their retailers that they supply. They also have a lot of complaints on forums as well if you read.

So please explain the support thing? is it because they have been around for a while and deserve your money regardless? Is it because one of the owners produced a game or two 40 yrs ago? Sorry for the rant but I hate statements like this without reason.

      • Actually for the last almost 20 years milsims were pretty good compared to importing directly, considering the price of shipping from overseas up until the last 2-4 years. I've been buying VtES collectable trading cards since 1994, and for most of that time unless you're buying by the crate (10 booster boxes), milsims would have the best price for the majority of that time.

In the last 2-4 years or so there's been some competition in the Australian online store space, which is good, as it's meant everyone's price has come down further, and you need to shop around to make sure you're getting the best price. Milsims has also been slipping recently for me with their time to ship items. I used to be able to place an order and have them post it the next day. Now it can take a week or more before it's in the post. So while milsims are certainly no longer my default choice, they're well worth considering in the list of places (depending on how fast you want it).

Milsims have been good for me. :shrugs: but mileage can vary. I have had no end of troubles with that other big australian online game store. It's been no paradise…

Games empire is probably my favourite.

Thanks for post, I found a couple of great deals in there.
