Further 15% discount to $117.30 (receipt attached).

I'm curious; what was the reason behind this? Other Harvey Norman stores (emphasis on 'Harvey Norman') or Officeworks might be less inclined to match if it was a discount given under special circumstances.

Thanks for posting, though - great price.

I believe it was a weekend sale?

The Weekend advertised sale price is $138 down from $179. Not sure how he got the extra $$$ off, other than just asking for it.

Note this is a 3TB USB2.0 powered external drive (not portable like the Amazon 2TB deal).

Here's a photo of the sale of the HDD and the 15% discount on top of it.

It says sales items excluded but in the fine print (blue row) it says it applies to sales items. Weird, but when I checked it out, the 15% discount was applied.

  • Would this be available at NSW HN?

Soo…. Posting a weekend deal after 5:30pm on a Sunday… Scumbag OP much?

If he's in Perth it may well be 02:30pm for him.

Yup - and the receipt is dated 2:10pm - so he didn't waste much time getting it online….

Hard to please Putnum - even though he's been a member for 18 months and never posted a deal….

        • Take it easy, I'm pretty sure he was only joking.

        • I disagree - check out his comments on the 500gb Samsung SSD….

Aw man, if it's only USB 2 then not so much of a good deal. 3TB will be useful for quite a few years to come, buying a USB 2 version just doesn't make sense.

    • then not so much of a good deal.

It is if you're ripping the drive out.

      • would have to check if the connectors are soldered onto the board before buying it to rip it out.

        • I was under the impression that it was already confirmed to be possible. I might be wrong though.

  • Why do these weekend deals come up too late! Oh well
