Good cheap Tablet?

A friend asked me about an EZPad 7" Android Tablet for $79.95 from 00.com.au

I know nothing about tablets except iPads - too dear for them.

They want something with WiFi; browse the internet; maybe GPS; play kids games.

What is currently a good (cheapish) buy? Thanks.

    Spend a little more and go Ainol. It's worth it just for the jokes.

    I had an Ainol Fire a few months ago. It wasn't bad, just Android wasn't for me.

    Ainol doesn't have GPS, and for GPS capability you do need to spend a little bit extra since the GPS chipset costs money.

    How about this one?
    It's $170 and it supports 3G, bluetooth and GPS.

    If GPS is not a neccessity I'd go with an Ainol Crystal or Fire.

      Hi Scrimshaw,

      Just curious, have u ever bought tablet from Pandawill? read some reviews, most said they aren't good seller, scam, etc.
      Any personal experience?

        No personal experience, sorry.

        I would recommend BuySKU, Merimobiles and RedTabletPC (although their prices are a bit higher) as they seem to have better ratings.

        I have personally dealt with RedtabletPC and I think their service is pretty good, but again their prices are anything but bargain.

    nexus 7 is an awesome tablet and ive seen a few posts on here for about 190 mark

    +1 for the Nexus 7.

    I know this is OzBargain, and we all want to spend as little as possible, but a bargain does not always mean the cheapest thing possible.

    The experience on a $100 tablet, say, is usually disappointing. Chalk and cheese compared with a quality tablet.

    Quite frankly, at the prices I've seen the Nexus 7 at, I'd say it is the best bargain I've seen in a long time. What you get for the price really is amazing.
