  • what does the price revert to once the deal is over?

same price. I'm looking at this vs a Foxtel home subscription for NRL.

  • It will be interesting to see what resolution they stream at.
Definitely a good thing for NRL fans even if it's only 480p

    • Are you sure it's even that high? Last season it was broadcast for a 4" screen.

  • I think what bargainhaggler is trying to say is much cheaper then foxtel I think this is a great deal compared to foxtel and and would be much better quality then free dodgy flash streams through wizwig ect

No iPad version is a big -ve for me

    • mmm No argue men from me there.

      • I wonder if that's where the word argument came from?

  • did anyone watch the game last night on this?
does it output ok to tv?

Downloaded this last night and paid the $90 annual fee. I'm a big fan of being able to watch/stream sports live on my mobile. I have NBA league pass + Vodafone cricket app.

I used the app to watch the rabbits v money bill will i ams last evening. it was a good experience overall.

    Observations:
    1. it's quite expensive at 90 bux. Not many people can afford to pay 90 bux for an app, especially when most of the good games are available on free to air TV.
    2. quality is excellent (much clearer than vodafone cricket app)
    3. i'm with telstra, so the bandwidth used for streaming games live on this app does not count to your data quota. This is a big positive for me, as streaming consumes a lot of data.

    • But what device were you watching it on? The Telstra mobile stream last year was terrible. It was mean for a 4" device, on a 10" tablet is was chunky….

      • Galaxy Note II on Telstra 3G. I do not have 4G/LTE in my area yet.

    • shoot sorry i went to give you a + and hit the neg button accidently! sorry!

    • Great news, do you have the same Play account on any other device, have you tried to log on from that one too? im interested if i sign up if I'll have access on my Galaxy phone and Tab and Android TV as all are on the same Play account.

  • Even though it says phones only, had no problem installing and watching the game on my Nexus 7 last night.

Someone on whirlpool forums mentioned they could not display via hdmi onto their tv. They suspected the app has disabled video output. Anyone here tried it out?

    • well if thats the case thats pretty grubby. And I apologise to all in advance for this post cause thats what I was hoping to get out of this.

    • I installed it on my MK808 HDMI Android stick this morning and watched the hilights full screen from last night no issues. thinking of just getting the weekly pack and trying it out to see if the qualtity is worth the money over free streaming at Frombar.
