Is it worth saving the ~$10 just to sacrifice Australian stock warranty, and (hopefully) getting it earlier?

      • +2

Not to mention if you don't have a 28 degrees mastercard you'll be paying ~2.5% in foreign transaction fees and you'll be getting a pretty lousy exchange rate.

thats the beauty of ozbargain, letting other know of alternatives and letting them decide for themself…

Forgive my bad maths but how is $140 v $139.53 saving $10? By my maths you save 47 cents…

      • The shipping. (I'm still off by a few dollars… unless you round up. ;))

EDIT: and for the haters… my reply was when this was put at $145 plus $5.95 postage. Not $140 pp. At the time, when I posted, it really WAS a $10 difference.

  • not as good as the previous $113 one delivered by Amazon, but definitely a good deal for local stock.

    • -4

The $113 was for the 1.5 TB so $16 more for another 500GB isnt even worth breaking out the calculator for. Also consider than OW and other retailers sell the desktop external hdd's for 160ish last time i looked.

I ordered off amazon as personally id rather support amazon in the hopes of seeing one in Aus someday.

      dupe.

  • dont forget to use "welcome5" as a promo code - $5 more off ;)

    • Didn't think that was still valid, will update.

We had this for $131 delivered if you use the OZBARGAIN coupon

      From your site

Past the 14 days, contact the manufacturer for warranty replacement/repair. For items that manufacturer will not warranty directly, there will be a $45 handling fee to cover the shipping and handling.

Customers must pay for return shipping on all returns, including DOA product.

^ isn't that against the law?

      • Wow, terms and conditions need to be fixed as well!

  • -6

Australian stock as well with Aus warranty

Looks like you have fixed your website and now out of the Ozbargain sin bin, good work!

yeh my SSL expired but my webhost kept saying it was installed

is it cheaper than OW so I can do a price match.

    • I've checked Officeworks and they've already matched it :(

      So… no.

Are you incapable of checking yourself?

  • wonder whether they'll come with "interesting" contents….

    • I remember buying a PSP from jb hifi, and getting home to find someone else's name and pictures on it. Returned it immediately (also because it had dead pixels, which I assume was the reason for the original return).

This is expansive…bought one last week on amazon for $113aud including shipping. 2tb

    • Same here! But mine (WDBY8L0020BBK, same as this deal) runs a little too hot for my liking and is heavy. My older WD 500GB Elements (WDBABV500ABK-00) is a better drive, runs cool, light and is big enough for my needs. Just need to figure out why I needed a 2TB, impulse buy me thinks. ;)

  • Ah, god damnit! Just bought this for $180 at MLN.. Officeworks had no stock :S

  • OW out of stock?

  • Office works have not price matched yet, the link posted is for a different obsolete model, the model harvey norman is selling is
WDBY8L0020BBK, so here is the correct price match link!!! go get it. http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Dat…

    • Do you (or anyone else) know what's the main differences between the models?

  • Why don't the vendors simply publish the discounted price, instead of damn 'coupon codes', 'discount codes' yada yada.
Would make online shopping & ordering more streamlined and easier for the customers. Not to mention simplifying their website coding!

    • If they did that every customer would get the discounted price. Using discount codes/vouchers lets only those customers that know about it get the discounted price.

  • I saw this last night, and it finished today! I was planning on going in today and grabbing it! So annoyed!
