Vortex Fuel for Same Price as Normal Unleaded (ACT)

341

Just a heads up for those living in Canberra, Lanyon Woolworths Petrol is selling Vortex for same price as Unleaded as they've run out of the normal stuff.

Dont know how long it'll go for, but it wont be for long I would imagine. Just filled up both cars and they are still honouring discount vouchers, so is a real bargain!

(I filled up both cars just before 3.30pm and came straight on here… get down there quick!)

Can you at least tell us how much the price is.

  • price per liter at time of purchase somewhere in the post would be good thanks OP

Wont be suprised if they just stop honoring this very quickly (ie soon as corporate find out) and just put the out of order tags on the unleaded pumps.

And the price difference between the two is around 16c per liter.

This is standard practice when the ULP91 tank(s) get too low. It basically lasts from when head office says to shut down the pumps until they get a delivery. And when they do do this out of order signs are placed on the pumps, because if the tank gets too low equipment (theirs, not yours) can get severely damaged.

  • Good offer, but I'm in Melbourne. Well, recently normal unleaded is already same price as premium anyway :S HA

Regular unleaded is an outrageous $1.60 / litre in Brisvegas!!!!!! ouch! They have to put it up by at least 10c/ litre so they can give us 8c off with supermarket vouchers.

As someone who pays <1.10 a litre for 98 and .96c for E85 i say what the.

      • +1

Does the guy you buy from have his own siphon hose?

        • -1

No. All completely legal purchased from a retailer with tax reciept. Nothing dodgy about it at all. Not 100% legal to be using in a road car but unless they pull a sample they wont ever know (incase you were wondering 'race fuels' dont attract the fuel levy and i claim the GST portion)

Where can you get this? I run 98 in my 180 and wouldn't mind those savings, cos in Canberra good 98 is 165.9.

        • +1

          I sure wouldnt mind running 1.10 for 98! That's 50c off a litre!

    • Where is Brisvegas? It's not on any Australian map.

  • Where's the price?

Price is relative for act residents, so ppl interstate need not be concerned.
Besides the deal is well expired anyway, they are out of vortex 95 and have unleaded back in stock.
