  • not a bargain. As samsung aus has promotion of $200 cashcard with the phone for $799

So will be $599 in total

New Galaxy S4 will be released this week, we will see.

The problem with Samsung products is, as they are superseeded by the next best thing, the older versions don't tend to drop much. Look at the S2, still not the bargain price it should be by now. I think the Note2 will only drop slightly in the next few months but I'm happy to be wrong on this seeing as I would love to replace my Note1 and 4G seems like the logical choice now.

I up voted before realising sammy's $200 rebate was still running, if so this isn't such a bargain after all. Nice to see the 4G flavour regularly under $700 finally!

    • Where is this promotion available. I do not see it listed on http://www.samsung.com/au/promotions/index.html

    • Can you show me where this cash card is available please.

    • is this promotion still running with the $200 visa card?

    *Supplied by Personal Digital HK

    • so its hk stock… but states aus stock???
    • Its Australian Stock, as the title and Description says..
with Samsung Australian warranty, we Guarantee that.

      • Do you provide an invoice with ABN and GST?

        • According to their website:

          ACN - 158 860 916 / ABN - 56 158 860 916

However, Samsung does not list them as an official retailer. So I'd be interest to know how they source this 'genuine Australian stock'?

        • hi,
We provide an Invoice, and yes we are authorized to resell Samsung in Australia.

We source our stock through the Normal Australian Distribution channels, just like telstra optus etc do.

The Invoice will have an ABN, and there is no gst in the price, so the the gst column will be zero.

We feel that customers just want the best price (gst or no gst its what you finally pay is what you care most about) the service, support and local manufacturers warranty(in this case Samsung), and this is what we are trying to bring you.

          thanks

        • Invoice with an ABN, but no GST?? Interesting..

        • gst column will be zero.

what trickery do you use to sell without GST? Re-import exported phone?

        • hi
The list on Samsung site in the retail locator only includes the Major carriers.
Even their own Samsung experience store is not listed on their.

          thanks

  • Hi Rep
I think Playerone is still waiting for your answer.

  • Hi Rep
Your deal is more expensive than Mr Gerry ( 100% Australian Stock! ) when GST is added
    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/homepage/samsung-galaxy-note-…

    I am still confused.
How you can sell Aussie stock without paying GST?

    • hi,
If you add their shipping, it comes to $724.95 and less the gst if works out to 659.05.
So for the record we are still cheaper by a Dollar and Five cents.

Further why would you want to pay gst, keep the extra 10% Approx $70 in your pocket or buy some accessories.

      Thanks

      • we can pick up in store why would we want to pay postage?

      • If you add their shipping, it comes to $724.95 and less the gst if works out to 659.05.

But HN stores are everywhere. 180 locations across Australia.
Anyone can drop in and pick one up.

        • hi,
Without shipping we are $4.36 more expensive excluding gst.
If you want this price, please email us after your order mention this post and we will be happy to refund you the difference ($4.36).

          thanks

  • The Tourist Refund Scheme will not work because of this as he has imported the phones and not charging gst saves his overheads on paperwork and declare gst on sales.

    QUESTIONABLE SELLER.
Unanswered questions concerning the lack of GST.
    Concerns over stock origin.
    Concerns over warranty.

    • I agree with you ZRXS12. How can it be Australian stock, sourced from australia channels and yet pay no GST. What dodgy loophole are they using. I would love to know.

      Edit: http://www.ato.gov.au/businesses/content.aspx?doc=/content/2…

      • hi guys,

I dont see why there is all this confusion over here.

If you order one of these phones (Australian Version) it will be shipped from out warehouse overseas to you, therefore as per Australian LAW, you will be the importer of the goods and no gst will be charged to you because the amount will be less than $1000AUD. (see customs website http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5549.asp)

        • Sounds like you're telling big fat porky's.

  • Rep seems to know that not paying GST is illegal http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/9443#comment-42136

      hi guys,

It seems like people just don't want to believe us, no matter how clear we make it. They are Australian Stock from a Samsung Australian distributor.

We obtain our stock from the australian distributor in Australia and not some factory or stolen in hk Vietnam or whatever. No Cloned imei's or whatever other methods mentioned above.

Further just to prove to you, if you guys are real buyers group together buy at least 5 units, We will show you the documentation with the IMEI number on the australian distributors invoice. Or if you want to buy 1 unit, pay a deposit of 10% and we will provide you the IMEI so that you can check with Samsung Australia or whomever you wish to make sure it is under warranty. This is only because we want to be sure you actually want to buy the unit and not just waste our time and yours. If it is not we will give you your deposit back and a phone FREE!!!

So if you guys want to really buy these and not just talk on here, lets do this.

I don't mean to be rude to anyone here, but there has been rubbish talk over here.

So lets cut to the chase and get some orders.. and or you get a FREE PHONE!!! sounds good?

      • +1

So we give you money as a deposit which you will then refund…
        Yeah sounds good.

Even if the imei checks out that does not mean that Samsung will honour the warranty.

Geez you seem keen to move these, they must be hot hot hot! :P

Anyway it's looking like the S4 is the one to hold out for.
