    I remember that. But that was for NSW Sydney stores only. Melbourne Sony Centre was around $1600 lowest they'll go. Considering this also has free postage and a PS3 40gig can sell for $400-$450 on eBay, not a bad deal.

Pricing not as sweet as some of the other models though… maybe someone more familiar with TVs can explain the differences between the KDL40XBR and the KDL40W4500

  XBR made in Japan no swivel base, W made in maylasia with swivel base.
  
  XBR has the Bravia engine PRO, W Has Bravia engine 2. Pro is better.

    A website advertising a SONY deal (i.e. Bravia = get free PS3) simply to push traffic to their site when there is no real bargain = spam.

  They're just clearing the old stock, I wouldn't touch V4000 model with a stick, it's outdated by a whole generation plus a few model series and you can probably get this price elswhere. Z series isn't such good value either…

    My order is delivered, but for the same price the TV replaced with KDL40XBR as V4000 sold out.

This was posted 15 years 3 months 5 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal.
