Brainwavz M4 with or without mic/remote. I bought multiple pairs of these in the past and they are very decent and solid earphones. Here is a review on head-fi.org:

They come with:

  • Comply foam eartips (in addition to the usual silicon set)
  • Hard-shell earphone case

The shell is metal, which makes these good for carrying around (and the main reason I prefer these to carry around over my R1s). They seal well, non-muddy and firm bass with plenty of detail. I tested the remote with Iphone4, HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3 and works fine for all. They normally sell for US$69.50 on MP4Nation and $89 locally:

    Very happy with mine, although the remote just broke and getting replaced under warranty. Other set is going fine still.

      Yeah, I've read a few more comments about the remote. Although the remote in the photos look different to the one I have so they might have replaced it with a more durable one. But yeah, if durability is your first priority, go with the one without mic I would say.

    It seems like the cabling is different between the model with the mic and the one without? (i think without one is better?) Is this true. Also how long is this sale for.

      If they are different, it must be a recent change, the ones I've got have the same cable (from about 4 months ago though).

      I received the Email about the sale last night and the sales usually go for 3-4 days.

      Oh, right. Yeah, the ones I bought have a totally different cable to the one in the review. It's completely black. Doesn't tangle much though, so, happy with it.

        Mmm not sure which one to get now, the mike one or the better looking cable one… I see many people say there is cabling noise when used (which is why a shirt clip is used). Do you notice this?

          I am guessing the cable is going to be the same on both mic and non-mic. About the cabling noise, yes, it is definitely present, but with the shirt clip I don't really notice it.

          All in-ears will have some noise due to cable movement. These are no worse or better than others I have owned. Best part is they include Comply tips, much better than any silicon ones you will ever use.

    Sound is ok at best with these, my pair broke after 6 months of non-regular use. Driver/earpiece came away from its casing.

    No idea about the earphones themselves but can vouch for the comply tips - i bought a pack of these for ~$20 on their own. Great product.

      I prefer the sound of R1s. Due to being double drivers, you get clearer highs and lows. But they are worn over the ear and they are all-plastic, so if you are planning to carry them around all the time, I would say go with metal shell M4s.

      My experience from previous purchases, Fedex takes from 2 days to 4 days from Hong Kong depending on your luck.
