Acer 15.6" LED M3-581TG-73514G52MAkk $569.10 (after $149 cashback) + $20 delivery

LAPTOPDC134

CentreCom having an upto 30% off sale on laptops.. this seems to be the pick of the bunch.. only 2nd generation i7 and just 2 cores not 4.. but it has a nice gfx card, GT640M and 20GB SSD

edit: actually there is an error in this listing.. the model number listed indicates that it should be an i7-3517 (the "7351") where as in the specs it says i7-2637 (other models from COTD/MSY that have been previous posted were "7263")

would be good if we had a rep confirm which one it is.

so it's $798.00 base
then you apply the coupon to get 10% off = $718.10
then acer cashback of $149 = $569.10
shipping to anywhere in australia is a flat $20 = $589.10

not bad deal imo

  • didnt centercom do awesome stuff like cut out the serial panel and claim the cashback for themselves all the while advertising the cashback was available for the customer?

    • lol really? how dodgy if true

    • +1

I purchased an IBM laptop from them once, their service wasn't anything great, but I was able the claim back the sizeable cash back no problem. I'd be stunned if they cut out the serial numbers, that is just asking for consumer affairs to go nuts on them. Have you got any proof of this statement?

I've never found them overtly dodgy per se, but IME no Centrecom transaction ever seems to go smoothly…I just find them somewhat lacksadaisical.

    • on the spec page they mentioned about the cash back promotion so i believe they wont do that silly move

I believe that was OnlineComputer (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/93422)

    • koreainhyuk has shown that the culprit was actually OnlineComputer, not Centre Com.
tonyjzx, you really should get your facts straight before posting such things. I'm sure there were people who saw your comment and got immediately turned off Centre Com.

  • is that acer is ultrabook? as thin as mac air?

    • no way.. but it is relatively thin and light for a 15.6" laptop

      20.7 (H) mm
      2.25 kg

8 hour battery too (but more like 5hr irl)

previous deal was $669 after cashback through MSY (but that one had a 3rd generation 2 core cpu) —> http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/92051

  • This is a 2nd gen dual core i7, not that great IMO

    • as i said there's an error.. either the model number listed is wrong or the specs are wrong

  • Say, anyone able to get a reply, they just haven't replied to me
