Just got the DCS newsletter and they're having a spring sale.. These are simulation games meant for the hardcore simmer.. the best deal is P-51, as that wasn't released that long ago now only $10..

Thank you for informing me of this. P51D is a real bargain. There aren't "free" versions of newer DCS games to be had on torrent sites and the like, so if you like real simulations, buy now while they are on special, or you'll probably have to wait for the Steam December sale.
I wouldn't touch any of the steam versions.. There was a falling out, of sorts, between ED & Valve, so whilst they have warthog & black shark, that's all that'll ever be on there. The steam versions are quite old as well, so there's been updates since. You're better off buying from the DCS store and cutting out the middle man..
Thanks for letting me know about this. It's always bothered me when online re-sellers have there own special DRM which is incompatible with official patches.
I read about P51D - it seems it isn't a WW2 fighter game but rather a civilian sim in a fighter plane. No WW2 enemies, historical missions or campaign from what I read :(
Would have bought A-10C Warthog, but it was cheaper during a Steam Sale
