    • Hi uccoffee,
Thanks for your comment. We are passing on our eftpos gift cards at the cheapest rate we can. Please see collective response at the bottom of these comments.
      Cheers,
      Fergus

  • not many to choose from yet, hopefully they stock up!

    • Hi SmiTTy,
Agree. We are working to increase our range. You should see an expanded range of new cards within the next week!
The discounted cards are harder to predict as it depends on how many people are selling unwanted gift cards to us at any time.
      Cheers,
      Fergus

  • They used to offer good discounts. Not any longer however. Pass

  • good discount but not much range

    • Thanks for your feedback gotbean,
We are glad you like the discount. Given we operate at slim margins unfortunately we can't offer them too often - but we are delighted when we can. We understand also that you are looking for a bigger range so we are working on increasing stock over the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
      Cheers
      Fergus

  • just out of curiosity, why is it called "Cardlimbo"??

    • The cards are in limbo?

  • just out of curiosity, is there a postage charge?

    • HI nortyjak,
      Thanks for your question.
Yep, we charge postage. Main reason is we need to ship all product registered (given we are shipping a form of cash and security is an issue;) and we operate at pretty slim margins so we can offer great discounts on second hand cards. Regardless, we take on your feedback and have cut our Registered Post cost from $3.95 to $2.95. We hope this helps.
      Cheers

They charge postage. That's why I stopped using them as unless you're buying a huge amount the postage erases any savings.

    • Hi zzyss,
Sorry to hear you are no longer using us. Unfortunately we have had to charge a small fee to cover the cost of registered post given the instances of fraud. Given the margins we operate at, we can't afford to continue to wear the full cost. We hear you though and we have cut the cost of Registered Post to below cost from $3.95 to $2.95. Hope this helps.
      Cheers,
      Fergus

  • They have, for example, cards worth $200 and are trying to sell them for $205pp. The eftpos cards.

Most other cards are being sold for face value plus post.

It looks like they jacked the prices up to the 5% doesn't save you anything.

I have to laugh but that's scandalous.

      Hi justtoreply,
Thanks for your comment. We would NEVER jack up the price of our products to offset a promotion! Please feel free to highlight any instances you believe this has happened.
Please see the detailed consolidated reply below to see how the eftpos cards are priced. Only the pre-paid eftpos, visa and master cards are charged at a premium to face value given the charges the card issuer applies to these particular cards. All other retail gift cards are offered at face value.
We pride ourselves on honest and open communication. Given we are buying back unwanted gift cards TRUST is everything for us.
Please feel free to email us at [email protected] or call us at 1300 134 163 and ask for me (Fergus) if you have any concerns.
      Cheers,
      Fergus

Why would you pay more than the actual value of a gift card?

    • It's CardLimbo, they're in limbo right now, stuck in the dream realm.

Can you hear that? I think that's a kick coming. Tell him he's dreaming

    • Hi dan76n
Thanks for you question. Please see response below.
      Cheers,

  • Hi guys,

Thanks for the posts. We really value your feedback and use it to tailor our products and services. In response we have reduced some of our prices effective today and have also taken the time to explain our business current model and how this impacts on pricing.

    Eftpos Cards
New eftpos cards are always charged at a premium to face value. These cards are different to regular retail gift cards because the card issuer (supplier) charges a premium to have them run over the eftpos financial rails. Same holds for pre-paid master and visa cards that are typically sold in retail stores like Coles at a premium to face value.
In the interests of trying to better meet expectations, we have reduced our price by $1 per card to $3.95 per card. This only just covers our costs so when we offer 5% discounts on these cards we run at a loss so unfortunately we can't run these too often.
Please let us know if you are able to find publicly available eftpos cards at a cheaper rate. We believe we offer one of the best rates on these cards in the market and this is why eftpos cards are one of our most popular selling items.

    We Never Jack Up Prices
We take great pride in offering honest and transparent products and offers and would never mark/ jack up up prices to offset a deal. Happy to address any items you believe have been jacked up (pre to post).

    Postage
We currently charge postage to help offset the cost of registered post. Registered post is important to ensure our financial gift cards are delivered securely and don't get into the wrong persons hands (gift cards are especially attractive to fraudsters;).
In the interests of trying to better meet customer expectations we have reduced our postage charge by $1 to $2.95 for registered. This is less than the cost of using registered post. Hope this helps.

    Range
We hear your feedback on range. We are looking at expanding our range of new stock. The volume of our discounted second hand stock varies according to demand and supply. The most popular discounted stock, e.g. Coles Myer, Woolworth's Wish usually gets snapped up within hours of listing. We have a batch of this stock coming in over the next few days based on orders placed in the system.

Once again, thanks for all of your feedback. We really appreciate it and will continue to try to better meet your needs in a way that also maintains the viability of the business.

    Cheers
    Fergus

    • The price you charge for the eftpos cards isnt much cheaper than paying full price, hardly worth it.
I rather pay a few extra dollars to get it from Aust Post, considering there's an Aust Post pretty much everywhere.

      • Hi JLove
Understand. Cardlimbo lists new eftpos cards. These new cards are not discounted and have full expiry periods. We offer well priced eftpos cards online for people looking for the convenience of buying their gift cards online. Of course, many customers will also elect to buy their eftpos gift cards (or other retail gift cards) from a bricks and mortar store. Sometimes this might be more convenient.
We also sometimes offer discounted second hand eftpos gift cards. These cards will stand out because they will be sold at lower than face value and may have a reduced validity period.
        Cheers,
        Fergus
