Fujifilm XE-1 Digital Camera Body Only Black AU $687.97 INC SHIPPING SAVE: AUD$356.03

70

Excellent Camera and have been hanging out for the price to drop and it is now at its lowest.

Cheapest I could find by miles for the black body despite the ridiculous shipping charge of $45 at DFC!
Don't know how they can get away with this shipping charge but still was cheaper than elsewhere so i ended up buying it anyway even though I usually go for free shipping deals more often.
The savings are sort of fictious because I found it elswhere for about $100 more. So probably should really say Save $100 but got the savings of their website which would be RRP and other sites still have it advertised at the full RRP!

Have a bunch of Micro Four Thirds lenses already so body only is just fine for my collection.

Looking at grey imports it's a bit cheaper here:

Also, if anyone looking to buy this and does not have any Fuji X lenses should consider a kit with the 18-55 or 35/1.8 lens, as Fuji lenses are pretty expensive if bought separately. E.g. T-Dimension's kit:

If I didn't have the NEX system I would have definitely bought the T-Dimensio kit… Probably won't need to buy anything else for a long time.

Yep well done, you found it at $30 bucks cheaper…that would be lowest possible.

  • fuji san, watashi wa baka desu ne?

    • "Mr Fuji, I am stupid, aren't I?" I understand what you are saying but not why. My best guess is that you implying that this a bad deal and that Fujifilm are aiming to exploit the stupidity of their customers, but this is just a wild stab in the dark. (insert mandatory Blackadder reference here :P)

it doesn't use micro 4/3 lenses unless you are using adaptors

    • And it's got an APS-C sensor, so mft lenses won't cover it regardless.

Anyways, wait for the new PD AF from the x100s before dropping your money on an XE.

  • the XE-2 launched soon?

    • I dont believe there is an xe-2 this year. The XE-1 came after the Fuji X-Pro1 and the XE-1 is cheaper and has built in flash and I believe many other aspects are better than on the Pro 1
