Isn't that good, that they suck?

    • ROFL, best comment of the day…XD

    • probably meant to say that they aren't really skillful at sucking lol

  • i got a bagless vac from aldi in 2008 and it lasted until last year it was great, i havent seen one that compares since. i have dogs so fur is the main reason i need it, most bagless ones now are not very good for fur

  • Can't trust aldi's electronic. Bought steam mop and return after 2weeks. Bought ipod dock return after a month. All faulty. They are selling quantity not quality.

    • i got a washing machine that lasted 6 years before i sold it, digital antenna, dvd player, tv, water evaporator cooler, water dispenser and a few other things from them and never had a problem with them except the digital antenna which the dog climbed on the fridge and knocked down and the front cover came off - took a big fall and still works not a problem. they only item i had a problem with was a metallic soap holder which went rusty - i rang them they sent me a replacement and i didnt need to take the old one back. (postage cost the more than what i orginally paid)

Bought a $30 aldi bagless vacuum in 2010, far better than the Volta or generic kmart models that were >$100 it replaced

  • My folks got one of these……
the smell of burning plastic was immediately noticeable upon turning it on

    • Yeah I noticed a strong plasticy smell too on one my parents just bought. I don't think it is from actual burning plastic though. More likely just off-gassing from the cheap soft plastic of the hose so hopefully will go away in time.

I got this one for $25 a while ago, $29 now and it has a 12 month warranty

It performs alright for my small warehouse apartment, had it for 3 months now. No qualms.

  • Kmart sell the same vacuum for $30. It doesn't LOOK exactly the same, but it has to be from the same Chinese factory. The burning plastic smell mentioned above was my final confirmation. (We bought the Kmart version recently and returned it because it would turn itself off when it got hot.)

    • I think you're underestimating how many factories in China are likely to produce vacuum cleaners. Also, correlation != causation.
