Price Matching iPad through Officeworks

Just thought I'd share this on the forums.
I'm sure a few of you have seen this thread and are on Whirlpool quite a bit anyway.

This was the original post:
Hi guys, just thought I'd spread the love because I haven't really heard of anyone else doing this on the forums. I've been trying to work out the best way to get a genuine Australian iPad for cheap and this has been the best method that I successfully used today! As far as I know Officeworks is the only retail store that will price match through Kogan.com, so I called their customer hotline to place an order for an Ipad 4 64GB (because you have to order them into the store before purchase) and they were happy to pricematch from Kogan and include the 5% extra that they offer for pricematching. So the normal $759 iPad 4 came down to $653.50 (includes the postage from Kogan which is factored in before the 5% off), this should work for the other iPad 4 sizes but unfortunately I don't think Officeworks stock iPad Mini's at this point. Heres the links if anyone else is interested:

also you'll be required to pay by credit card over the phone when you place your order and pick it up at an Officeworks store, mine was ready after two working days. Enjoy!

it's not worth the trouble unless you are willing to call them up 10x and listen to them come up with 10 different excuses and lie their way out of having to PM before you might get lucky

the delivery time is a classic when they don't even deliver to your door. another common one is the returns policy don't match word for word. if those doesn't work they might get creative and say kogan isn't a legit store, their address doesn't show up on maps or it's actually out of stock although the website clearly say they are in stock. they sure value innovation and creativity over there at OW!

  • There are a few comments along those lines, but seems as though a fair few got it to work. Probably not worth it for the 16 GIG, but for anything higher, the savings become fairly significant, so may be worth the trouble for some.
