        It depends on your distro. If you don't have Comic Sans that's because you didn't install the MS fonts, so you will also be missing georgia, trebuchet, verdana and webdings. Maybe you don't miss them but the point is that you can't generalise based on Linux Mint.

    Love the pink - so much trendier than the 70's brady orange of yesterday and before!
    Hate font.
    And the hearts are distracting my bargain hunting senses.

    Hi all — just came back from a 4-days weekend away and saw my April Fools being pulled prematurely by the moderators in the afternoon :) Anyway…

    Happy April Fools!

    I know many must think how annoying it is with falling hearts, Comic Sans MS, overall pink colour and My Little Pony that seems to be targeting 6 years old (rather than appealing to more general female demographic). Yes, these were deliberate :) Sorry if it caused any eyesight damages. Maybe we'll get a ClearContacts deal soon.

    Just with some clarification,

    • Blog post was scheduled at 12:02AM and theme was automatically changed at 12:05AM this morning on ADST time (NSW, ACT, Vic). If you saw the new theme on the 31st, you are on the wrong timezone. The time of the servers however, is set at AEST (Qld time) so the timestamping of things can be a bit confusing.

    • This April Fools was planned about 2 weeks ago. Posting a seemingly genuine question on the SavvySME website was just a start (although I don't mind having a more diversified community). The design was indeed meant to be as annoying as possible (yet still making the site functional). My two daughters did love the pink theme though.

    • We are getting heaps of comments (here and on the OzBargain Blog), quite a number of support tickets, angry emails, Facebook wall postings, etc, from people who clearly did not check the date (and/or can't take a bit of Internet humour). @moocher moved the old theme back at around 3PM ADST as most people would have suffered from seen the April Fools theme already. Hopefully some had fun :)

    • It's actually the first April Fools we did after OzBargain was launched 6 years ago. Will we be doing another one next year? Not too sure about it yet, but definitely won't be something again that makes OzBargain less usable (i.e. Comic Sans MS).

      It's all right Scotty, thanks for the joke. I for one thought it was funny, I chuckled when you wrote that your wife laughed and you took that to be approval. I am glad there wasn't anything I had to look at in detail today. The colour I can tolerate but Comic Sans is simply too skinny for clarity at small point sizes.
