  • Hey hey, now we are talking.

    Great deal.

  • What is the diff between Windows 8 OS and Windows 8 Pro?

    • I don't know, but I hope somebody comes up with a good joke…

    • Remote desktop and some other features.

    • Similar to the Win 7 Home Premium vrs Windows 7 Pro. For most users Windows 8 is the usual version. Some business users you would want Pro. Main feature of Pro is probably the ability to log into a domain — needed if you are using a server at work. and want to log in like

      For others see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_8_editions

If you wanted to compare function, Windows RT is comparable to android and ipad, a relatively closed system based on "apps". Windows 8 and Windows 8 pro are the same OS as your desktop and can run the same programs you would on a desktop.

A full windows 8 tablet is ideal if you want to run light applications suitable to a tablet environment but also want the ability to run any of the usual PC applications, for example, it ships with Microsoft Office.

If you need a more powerful notebook/desktop replacement with the benefits of a tablet interface and keyboard interface, take a look at the windows 8 products with detachable keyboards and i5 processors. They are essentially a full power Ultrabooks that can be used in tablet form and transform from a tablet by slotting on the keyboard.

  • bought this under harvey normans -100 off scheme.

not worth it if you want a casual tablet and if you want a windows device you may as well get a low end ultra book.
