  • meh, they've been $19.95 delivered before http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87165

    • +5

Yeah, I saw that deal. For those who missed that one can settle for this one. :)

      • They charge for delivery. 24.95 + 9.95. How to get it without it?

    • Last time I took that bargain they cancelled the order on me!

    • Great product though, haven't been hit by any golf balls. Bought two packs

^ I ordered from that offer and we love these.

So the free shipping is over, so what? $35 delivered, for 3 excellent umbrellas? It's not an uber-bargain but still very good.
That's $11.66 each and still better than anything in stores for the price.

  • Some ozbargainers have complained about poor quality on these, anyone care to share their insights?

    • +3

They've been fantastic for me. I did read about some 'luck of the draw' with some containing defects, but that wasn't the case with mine.

    • +2

No complaints from me - bought them 2-3 years ago and all are still going strong.

    • +2

Au contraire, the quality is great. In super heavy storms they "snap over" but they easily "snap back" without any damage to the material. Recommended!

    • +1

Better than the junk shop umbrellas which everyone seems to own.

    • The bottom hangle brim is glued on. Think mine was coming off abit.
Also on my other one, the release button fell off.
My 3rd one was accidently left on the public bus. My bad there.

Umbrella itself was quite good quality.

      Might just grab another set.

    • fantastic for me as well. definitely worth the money! Bought 3 early last year and all are still going strong

      • Thanks for the replies guys, bought for myself.

  • +2

Have bought this deal twice, split with friends at work, keep a spare in the office and one at home. None have broken on me thus far (1-2 years). Very big, can cover 2-3 people, sturdy design, check for holes near the centre as this is where the quality control issues were noted (none in the ones I have ordered though, so all good). Black and white stripes looks a little ghey so give that someone else :P. I've def paid more we for worse umbrellas.

    • Golf umbrellas are never manly unless you're on the golf course. But for $25 delivered I'd be willing to sell my manliness.

  • Always wanted to try these umbrellas but missed the last deal. Got this one. Thanks

  • I've been wanting to try these too, bring on the rain!

  • Cheers op, looked @ these just the other day. Finally took da plunge.

    • +1

After good reviews from you guys, I finally bought it too. ;)

      • What? You posted it and waited for our votes/ reviews to help you to decide whether to buy or not? The reviews from those previously posted deals weren't enough?

        • Initially it was meant to benefit OzBargainers. :)
And then I thought before I forget my current one on a public bus, let's get a backup. :)

  • looks good but i find golf umbrellas a PITA because you have to store them at the destination. prefer the small ones that can just go into your bag. still will get some for the car.

  • I too like the smaller ones which can fit easily in my bag. I take it daily so that I don't have to check weather.

After ignoring these big woodworm ones for more than a year, finally grabbed one. Might be handy in the car or when sometimes it is raining heavily throughout the day.

  • I just tried to purchase this deal and I am being charged $9.95 for delivery :(

    • I'm getting the same. Free delivery expired?

    • ja ja me too. How do you get free delivery?

    • Cant get rid of $9.95 delivery if you want to do pickup ?

  • From description:
    "durable fibreglass frame"

I thought it was carbon fibre? Sure looks like it.
Regardless, for their size these umbrellas are very light.

  • The deal expired on 2:59am, 8 April. That is what the newsletter mentioned.

I bet they have a IFTTT trigger set up that post this if it rains.

  • Umbrellas arrived this morning, they do look pretty cheap, the materials quite thin and the stitching doesn't look very strong.
I hope they keep out the rain and don't fall apart too fast.
