Samsung Galaxy Note II 16GB Grey N7100 $508 Delivered @ Kogan

380

Don't think I saw anyone mention the Samsung Galaxy Note II (Grey) N7100 has actually dropped in price on Kogan as well, making it $508 delivered. Only seems to be the Grey one.

  • waiting to see the price drop to around $400

  • good price, but NOTE II vs Sony Z

    • This is around $50 cheaper

    • The NOTE can have a very different usage case than the Sony Z - especially when you get the S-Pen that can do proper hand written notes on the phone itself.

      • S-Pen? I thought it was called the Pen-S ;)

Dayum, Tempting me to sell my 2 week old Nexus 4 from Kogan for $328 XD

The Note II is outdated, note III is coming soon. For similar price I would get the Xperia Z posted here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99310#comment-1328643. Faster processor, better screen 1080p, 2GB RAM and water proof.

    • Are you kidding? Tell me any apps that wont run smoothly on note 2 but run smoother on z. Number doesnt always compares with real life experience.

The battery alone on note2 smoke the hell of z. I like the stock keyboard as well much better

Xperia Z looks good except non-removable battery and shorter battery life.

    • Non removable battery is a killer. Haven't seen how the battery performs on the Z but the Note 2 battery is great.

For me the phone needs 32gb onboard to install apps.

i wouldn't really compare note 2 with xperia z… note 2 is in a whole different league compared with xperia z. if it was GS3/4, it would be more of a fair comparison

Funny nobody even mentions that the Note 2 has a Wacom Type Stylus, where as the Z doesn't. Which is good for aspiring artists which don't want to be stuck on finger painting.

Both phones have their good features to it, but software wise Note 2 and Samsung still have the upper hand.

    • Depends what you value in the screen. Wacom vs 1080p. I've personally seen the screen on the Xperia, the Note 2/S3 blows it away in everything except resolution. Sony cheapened out on a tft screen just for the sake of making the phone as thin as possible, viewing angles degrade FAST.

      • Note II screen is way over saturated with unrelistic colours. Plus they are quite poor under direct sunlight.

        • Puhleese. There are like 9 colour configurations you can do with stock. One combo has realistic colours.

And in an update the screen is much brighter now allowing outside use with ease.

  • Finally, we get a serious drop in the Note II price. Been waiting a long time…

I'd hardly say the Note 3 is "coming soon", the Note 2 wasn't released until October last year.

However, the Xperia Z is probably a better deal, as mentioned above.

I would personally go for the S4 over Note 2. All rounder in performance , design

For the same price tag? I would personally go for a lexus IS250 over a toyota camry.

Guys be careful before buying from Kogan…worst customer service

    • +2

you just have bad luck, no issues here. (btw, this is a still a bargain so there's no need for negging)

      • If kogan has bad customer service, they wouldn't bother going to court with their provider. LOL

        • actually if they are getting hammered via the TIO with fines and cashback CC charges I think going to court is just trying to recoup some of their "expenses"

        • Shortsighted response. They're infamous for the worst delays & customer service in the industry. Taking a supplier to court, while ignoring customers & not giving them any answers, is not customer service. Razor thin prices come at the cost of razor thin customer service.

    • Better than DWI

      • Dining With Idiots?

  • no neg to deal mate…its to the seller

    • +2

But the neg you gave was to the deal not the seller, since Ozbargain only tracks by deals not by sellers.

Maybe instead of negging this deal, go and ask ozbargain to allow negging/pos'ing a company.
E.g. adding a positive and negative button to this site?
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/kogan.com

Also when has customer service stopped a person from snagging a bargain? LOL!

I am sure pretty much every company on ozbargain or even on the web, you can have something bad said against them, however that's just your bad luck. Its hard to satisfy everybody there is always somebody who will be p122ed off. That's why the Chinese came up with the concept of Yin and Yang.

      • The deal involves the seller, and all conditions related. MSY get hit, for the same reason. Sale - Customer Service + Big Delays = It's A Trap

It's only fair to warn people. No need to remove his opinion/experience.

I want the 4G N7105 model. Wonder if Kogan releases a deal on that.
