WTF? Why was I negged for what is an innocent observation?

      • Because it is not at all helpful to the "Gen Y-ers" that may wish to purchase these shoes. Pretty obvious I think.

Thanks frostee - I had not realised that you are a precious Gen Y-er.

Firstly I am not a Gen Y-er and secondly do you think it would be fair to neg a good deal on a pair of golf shoes because you don't play golf? Because that's pretty much what you are saying.

        • -4

You are mistaken - I did NOT neg this deal, I merely made a light-hearted comment, as did the OP.

  • I clicked the link and saw $84.95?

    • Same here.

EDIT: Nevermind there was a voucher code required. Are we sure these are genuine Vans? They are faked a lot these days.

      • kaeho are owned by rushfaster.com.au. they've been around for a while, i'd say they're pretty legit.

  • Got a vans bali (brand, not made in bali) for ladies…size 6 (actually 6-1/2 as written but small size so 6), shoot me a pm if interested. Sorry for the hijack op

What makes "vans" better than your kmart sandshow for $10 that looks almost the same? It might be worth paying an extra $10 if it were better quality I suppose. But $90 for sandshoes?

I know its the brand name that youre paing top dollar for - but snap out of the spell youre under and see them for what they really are - a pair of basic sandshoes!

  • Besides the vibrant, exciting, seductive, stand-out red colour, can anyone explain why these are better than $20 (on special) Dunlop Volleys?

    • I would say Vans are much more comfortable than a pair of Volleys but the quality is only marginally better. In regards to the post above similar situation, in my experience Vans are pretty good quality and a steal at this price, much better value than Kmart ones. That is if you fancy red ones (quite fashionable currently I think you will find). I have mates who wear Vans to music festivals/raves where as you would expect they would get trashed but they seem to hold up pretty well for a basic looking shoe.

    • Nice find, I checked out the traditional black Vans and they were preorder for 21/6/13 (in my size) damn that is a long time!
