  • Great keyboard. Produced at CST, the same ODM as Filco. Compare the price in TW, it's a good price

That was way too many acronyms to follow :P

Reliability and dead-on-arrival issues often reported with this one.
Price is real good though, tempted.

  • Thx, good buy

  • Hmmm this might be my first mechanical keyboard

  • You can also get a QFR with blues for $78.15 here, including delivery. Just choose Amazon from the 'more buying options' panel on the far right of the page.

    • Thanks, just updated the thread

  • Total comes to $83.33 here.
    Bought one, Estimated delivery: Apr. 23, 2013 - May 3, 2013
That Quickfire One is tenkeyless btw, no numpad.

  • Tempting.No backlit though.
Which is better? Compare to Logitech G110?

mechanical always better in term of typing

Why u guys don't buy Steel Series 6G at MSY in as 85 AUD only.

No shipping fee, and no waitting~~~

    • $79 at PCCG

      • But how about the shipping? It seems PCCG ask 17aud for standard shipping. As to MSY, may be I can pick up in Adelaide CBD, so 79+17>85….. am I right? Or any other bargaining methods? :)

Do you want the real reason?

Try the position of the \ and enter keys. As someone with 2 das keyboards and a few different keyboard layouts at work and on my laptops, I would say that this position has to be the most infuriating place to move the \ key.

Every time I go to escape something on the command like "echo "blah \*" you press enter. It is insane. Not bad while gaming, but using it for anything else and you will go mad.

Edit, apparently the escaping in this markup language is good too…
Edit2: Don't forget the pipe as well… gets annoying typing ps -ef | grep blah, only to get a screen full of processes.

      • Thanks man

        • +1 to what codhopper said. MX Black and un-standard non ansi layout = no deal.

  • I'll still hanging for something cheaper for the office… Blue keys will be awesome… Stinging to get my own back at some of the idiots I work with…… I love my gigabyte osmium (red) that I user at home. The 6G looks pretty tempting though

  • If you guys don't mind whether it is a branded product or not, and from the picture i see that its a standard keyboard with mech keys, you can always get the MWave branded one for 49.99 + shipping Here

But again, thats if you don't care about branding. According to this, apparently it's a rebranded i-rocks KR-6251 but with some mods to the keys.

  • I would not mind the new Logitech mechanical keyboard, but it does not appear to ship to Australia, they are selling it for $108 as apposed to $200+ in aus.

    • I like the 710 as well. Good Price.

The thing The thing that stopped me from buying the current Coolermaster keyboards are all related to issues with the required and bundled software (google around for more info):
    - using the macros overrides other key input.
    - the CM button can only be a CM button or a windows button and if you use a windows button, you cannot use other functions in the keyboard

For gaming, I'm currently considering a Razer Ultimate 2013 keyboard (which has its drawbacks too, but these are less significant for me).

At work, I'm using a Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja keyboard (brown switches).

I'm sort of waiting on the Coolermaster Quickfire Stealth keyboard (blue/red/brown/green switches) for typing at home. It's supposed to be released soon.
