See Me Talk is a beautiful easy to use augmentative and alternative communication (ACC) app for those who have difficulty communicating effectively. It is based on a picture exchange system developed for people with speech delays to communicate their needs independently and effectively.

See Me Talk was developed by a Special Education Teacher with over 12 years experience, in consultation with Speech Pathologists and parents of children with speech delays, who saw a need for an app that was visually pleasing and easy to navigate. Additionally, the app was professionally designed by Robots & Pencils, an award winning company specializing in creating iOS apps and who's owner has a child with a speech delay. Through this collaborative team we have come up with a gorgeous app that is easy to use!

Decreasing Discount Sale. How does it work? Pretty simple, really. The discount is the biggest when the promotion launches and gradually and randomly decreases as time goes on until there is no longer a discount. So, for example, when the promotion begins the first discount may be 70% off (which it is!)! This is the best time to buy because this is the biggest discount! Don't worry, the discount will last a few days before it decreases. May be it would drop to 60% off or 50% off, which is still a great discount! The discounts will keep decreasing at random times and for random amounts until See Me Talk returns back to its full price; which is when the promotion ends.

  • So the app is $19, is that so hard to put in the title or description.

    Decreasing Discount Sale.

Seems like a lame attempt to increase impulse buying.

    • It's $19 at the moment but as it's a "Decreasing Discount Sale" that "randomly decreases" the price is going to be changing. It would be difficult to constantly keep track of it and update the title.

Seems like a lame attempt to increase impulse buying.

      Agreed.

This promotion is different because we are offering a Decreasing Discount Sale.

    Why would you do that?

The discounts will keep decreasing at random times and for random amounts

Is this some sort of game you're playing?……. I'm not sure families who are struggling with an autistic child need this kind of crap…. either discount it or don't discount it…. don't mess people around.

Having an Autistic son, I totally agree with this comment.

Wonder how this app compares with Proloquo2Go?

      • +1

I have both Apps - paid over $200 for Proloquo2go and its never been used by anyone else other than me customizing it!! I also got this See Me Talk App during the World Autism Awareness Day promo and although its different to ProLo with voices/accents etc and less customization, the boy actually has used this App at $200 less, go figure!! - so I guess it will come down to the end user. But it makes it very hard if you cannot road test either - if you can find someone with both these Apps or at the very least someone that has ProLo I suggest you beg borrow or bribe them to let them let you try the Apps before you buy!

Thank you for raising your concerns with this type of promotion. I understand why you would not agree with the way I am promoting my app. I don't want my app to get a dodgy reputation. Please rest assured that I am not trying to 'play a game'. This is a genuine offer to people who would benefit from the decreased price.

I had anticipated leaving it at 70% off for a couple of days, however, in light of the concerns raised in this forum I will leave it at 70% off until the 19th of April. Hopefully, people will not feel pressure to buy and will be able to do proper research before making a purchase.

Also, please note that See Me Talk's regular price of $64.99 is much much cheaper than other speaking ACC apps and, as you can see in its reviews, other users think it's much better as well.

    • I think your latest suggestion sounds like a good idea. Would this app also be useful for non autistic kids?

I have friends with autistic kids, but was wondering if this would benefit my kinder aged child in any way.

      • Definitely! It would be a great way to introduce labels to objects and testing comprehension. For example, you can import pictures of the letters of the alphabet and when the child touches the letter it will say the letter. Or Take pictures of objects around the house and See Me Talk will say the name. Adding photo's of everyday 'things' from around the house would be a great way to make learning relevant and meaningful!

I didn't even think it could be used that way! Great idea! :-)

I don't have an iPad so this isn't for me but I just wanted to thank you for reconsidering the 'Decreasing Discount' option, for the reasons others have already brought up :)

    • in light of the concerns raised in this forum I will leave it at 70% off until the 19th of April.

      Well done….
(sorry I was a bit grumpy about it….)

      • No need apologise. It gave me a chance to clarify. Thanks for sharing your concerns!

  • Thanks. Can you customise the info by recording your own voice?

No, that feature will be coming our next update. Stay tuned!

      • +1

I meant, it will be added in our next update…

        • wow this is good news, and then after that is done, perhaps you could look into accents and then you would be some very serious competition for ProloQ ;-)
