Nah for the kids walkie talkies

My kids don't need walkie talkies, you can easily hear them 3kms away…

        • So your kids are walkie-screamies huh?

    • +4

Truth be told, daylight savings is actually a massive ploy to increase 9V battery sales.

  • yeah, saw these at Brimbank, but cant find any use for them, baby toys use mostly C battery nowaday.

    • +1

Pop them in your Smoke Alarms.

Unless contraindicated, super heavy duty = carbon-zinc.

  • Battery world were advertising $1 9v batteries on the radio last week as well.

    • +1

Yes, the battery world deal has already been posted, but I thought Australia Post would be a lot more accessible for people.

      • Cool, agreed. I pos'd the deal earlier but the OzB backend crashed whilst I was doing it, seems it never stuck…I fixed dat now! ;)

  • Just be aware that even the cheapest alkaline will contain three times of juice of these.
If you're feeding kids' walkie-talkies and the toy remotes etc. that take 9v batts then for heaven's sake buy something like this instead: http://www.masters.com.au/product/100021351/utilitech-9v-pre… You'll end up saving a small fortune.
