I already bought 2 from JB-HIFI about 2 moths ago. Now the price is declined again. The camera with the bonus pack is worth the money. Very good image quality and stylish design.

Be aware that this camera does not have a built in flash, so add some $ for that - the SEF15A is $100+ but you can get away with a cheaper flash. I also don't like the custom (non-AA) batteries but luckily extra batteries are cheap. Just my 2c

Actually,it comes with a flash light which can be removed or installed when needed. I have no idea with the exact modle but the quality is not bad.

      • OK, my bad. It doesn't say anything on the HN website, I was going by some reviews. The Samsung website says it comes bundled with the SEF8A

got one form JB last time for just 401$ (without memory card though), works well but the battery lasts not so long :(, do need second battery if serious for shots

Use the coupon WELCOME5 for $5 off.

  • looks good but I don't think this camera has IS.. is that a big deal?

We picked one up when JB had it on sale, and I can confirm that it has no image stabiliser within the camera body (no digital stabilization) and the free lens in the box is the one that has no OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation)either, so if you use it for video without a tripod using the boxed lens, you need to be very steady (which I am not). The bonus lens does have OIS, so that is fine.
Love the quality of the pictures from this camera, but was dissapointed about having no stabilizing on the standard lens.
Try it in store, capture a short video clip with the standard lens, then play it back through one of their large screens (shaky cam experience when I do it. I need a tripod). The free flash is good for short distances. and the panorama stitch creates a great quality panorama shot.
