I prefer to buy from this seller

Yah it without adapter but I kept an eye on them, they were first who lower the price and the other seller keep following them

      its shopping square.

    • I prefer a seller who sells more (an item). It assures me that 2500+ people are not idiots.

I bought it from Shopping Square on the weekend. For me. 5years warranty. Storage Specialist was only 1. But now I'm looking at reviews for Shopping square and its looking like it could be a pain in the arse.

    • I bought from Shopping Square, it has arrived and works fine…they have been around for a long time so I'm not too concerned about them disappearing overnight

I have been stung once buying SD cards off ebay, and a few times buying SD cards from various places but I got my money back because I complained immediately after I got the card.

So, word of advice when buying SD cards off ebay or sellers that may be a little dodgy:
When you receive the card, try and copy 32GB of data into the card and see if you can retrieve the data back successfully. Counterfeit cards may report 32GB of space, but can only store a lot less. The one I bought off ebay reports 32GB on my computer, but only stores 4GB of data, if you go past 4GB, the contents of the files after 4GB comes up as corrupted.

Also, run software to test the transfer speeds of the SD card, some cards are labeled as Class 10, but really could be class 4.

So, if you are planning to buy the microSD card off this guy, try and test the card immediately after you get it, hopefully you can claim back from Paypal if the seller is dodgy.

    • Well said, but Storage Specialist is an Ebay Power Seller and the product itself is a Genuine Samsung product.

Could still be dodgy, look at the guy's negative feedback. It seems some customers complained of smaller capacity than stated, I am not saying he is, but this seller could be selling counterfeit cards.

The reason counterfeit cards are still so widely sold on ebay is because it is not immediately obvious the card is counterfeit. It takes time for you to fill up the card, by the time you notice files getting corrupted, it's probably past the 60 days for you to put negative feedback on sellers on ebay.

        • good tip. always read negative and neutral feedback comments regardless of the seller's feedback rating. they might be justified or just a whinger with buyer's remorse.

  • is this a good deal? is suitable for camera?

    • If your camera supports SD, then can't see of no reason why it wouldn't as it comes with the adapter.

Lol, anyone find it odd that there's a FULL HD 1080 logo in the pic?

    • +2

NO. The card supports video recording in FULL HD.

    • Absolutely not. You need a minimum class 6 for HD recording and even then you may find bottlenecks. Class 10 is really needed for full hd recording.

The one I received last week was legit.

Comes in the original thin Samsung packaging with a Sandisk SD adapter sticky taped to the front.

They can sell it cheap because they're shipping them in a normal 60c postage envelope.

    Seller is based in Hornsby.

  • Looking at their negs it seems this is a fake product

  • I bought from this seller a couple of times.
He is reliable and his products are genuine.

  • I have bought from this guy before too, poor packaging but everything arrived ok. BUT be warned - if he doesn't state the write speed explicitly, it will be a slow card! Was burned a few times.
