No. PS1 $699. PS2 launched the same price as PS5 in 2000, $749. PS3 was $999. PS4 was the cheapest at $549.

Even the 60 series is creeping towards 1k now, fk me. If this keeps up I'm done with PC. I remember 1060's being $250-350.
