Just curious, what’s stopping Google to publish their apps on Huawei’s App Store? Isn’t that problem solved?

Terramaster offers very good price for the similar spec to Synology.

Wow, this is great. I want one but require no gaming 144hz/gsync/freesync/HDR needs. Anything like that but much cheaper?

We want a monitor for work, not for game...

Yeah, most space there is wasted. And normally people no longer use it at all

A waste of money, USB drives are so overrated. I don’t see how one need more than 16G for installing an OS.

Just buy one, why the down vote? It’s 2020 and general broadband has done everyone a big favour to deprecate the portable storage needs.

Absolutely, I got two drives, and don’t know when was the last time it was used.

People use Dropbox, Google Drive or other public cloud storage.

The encrypted partition is HDFS+ with encryption, not FAT32.

I wonder how many people require anything larger than 50/20 broadband.
29/05/2020 - 19:02
If you use Mac, just format it with encrypted partition.

It’s fine if this is home NAS/computer use. As long as this isn’t used in a context where you frequently need to write large amount of...

I can use one if it's 13 inch, 15 is too big to carry around.

Very nice budget build

Any quality router will do the same job. Usually Wifi lags around 8ms, with a quality router, this number will be 0.1-2ms

Nice router, but I reckon it’s not worth it unless you are hardware fan. Any AC router (< $100) will do decent job until NBN catches up...

4k over 100 inch, is same as 1080p over 50 inch, it will be pixelated on screen.

What is the drive used inside? Is it suitable 24/7 inside a NAS?
20/05/2020 - 10:38
Great, thank you! So the WHD is what I should after. There are lots $400 range 32 inch monitors which I find they all only has got 1080p
19/05/2020 - 12:01
Very good reference, thank you.
19/05/2020 - 08:56
Thank you buddy.

Good point, after the covid is over, hope to see demand to fall and therefore more discount on the monitors.
19/05/2020 - 08:55
