    Had it in the cart, registered, went through paypal and back (took 10 minutes for whole thing). Now on final place order button i get a message saying "Unable to place order". I thought adding to the cart meant that they reserve it for you until you do the checkout :(

      It's a neg CPL. Poor show. For a deal like this you should have stated precisely how much stock you had or could access and then controlled your site ordering process accordingly.

  • Wasted more than 1/2 hour at lunch trying to order one of these, obviously the website cannot cope with OzBargain users since it was horribly slow with broken pages all over the place - eventually gave up (like others on the final order page when it said order can't be completed) … bit of a waste of time.

    My order just went through - tried on and off over an hour or so and countless attempts - BUT, I was changed $10.20! I've requested a credit for the difference but just a 'heads up' for others to check your order confirmations & PayPal confirmations.

    Ripped off.. I started with order and it clearly showed $2.49. I checkedout and with PayPal 2% surchange it showed $2.54 at checkout.

    But when the order completed, it changed me $10.20 instead!!

    Going to raise a Paypal case soon.

    There seems to be alot of hate and entitlement on ozbargain recently. I managed to get one. You snooze you lose sometimes you miss out. They had 100 in stock and then another 50. Its not like they had 3. It's not exactly reasonable to think they would have thousands in stock and to assume the checkout process would be flawless is naive when everyone is hammering their server.

      Negging is due to the fact that order is going thru with an incorrect charge of 10.20 instead of 2.49

        Not directed at you getting overcharged is a fair enough neg. I mean the people complaining earlier that they only had a limited stock and that their site was slow. SImilar to everyone complaining to dick smith deals.

          The concerns were about the item being "in stock", then having to go through and supply all your details, then having to confirm billing and delivery address, then having to log in to Pay Pal, then having to confirm details again, then not having the order go through.

          After trying for over 30 minutes, the item is still showing "in stock", yet no one could place an order.

          This is totally different than being "out of stock". At no point did the website or my order say out of stock - like every other website would do. And nearly every other website, will use Pay Pal delivery information so you do not need to input twice.

          And the last kick in the guts, was being charged $10.20.

          I will judge CPL on how professionally they deal with all the OzBargainers they charged the wrong price. So time will tell.

    For anyone who was billed $10 to paypal, do not bother complaining to paypal.
    The paypal system is broken in that sellers can bill you for any amount they choose, not just what you think you authorised on the paypal website. This happened to me before and paypal are not interested, which came as a shock.

    I'm sure CPL will refund the difference, it is just a question of how much more hassle is involved.

    I was placing order for Samsung 8 GB micro SD card for promotion for $2.49.
    I went trough pay pal it was showing payment of $2.54.
    I tried placing order it was saying "Unable to place order"
    After coupleo of attepmt, When I go success & placed order it took our $10.20 from my pay pal account as on full price.
    Please cancel my order and refund full amount to my paypal account OR process my order with original promotion price.

    Not good enough. You have a contractual obligation to deliver at the offered price. A refund does not release you from the contract.

    • The website clearly states they still have stock, so I figure they should be able to supply us our cards.
      Supply the cards, refund the difference. Simple.

  • CPL Rep - as a display of good faith given this poorly executed deal, you should do your level best to source more stock and offer it at the advertised price. At the very least you should reserve it for the many, many people who registered on your site for the first time today, solely on the basis of this - again - poorly executed deal.
