It did happen. Kept refreshing when they put up the message about their servers being overloaded.
Was lucky to get to the page like a split second after they put the message down to restore the page.
I had problems with accessing the page even 20 minutes before the sale, and this time it was for the first time I have seen the page :-)

Yep - got one. Just kept hit refresh and eventually got to the cart and "One Step Checkout". Have the Paypal receipt. $15 shipping or can collect at one of the Acer locations.
Better to use paypal to checkout at least it off loads the acer website a bit

Bah, load of crap Acer. Been constantly refreshing on 3 different browsers since 11:45. Managed to see the product page once but got no further. Poor effort.
Maybe try from just one and help reduce the load on their already overloaded servers?

I loaded another window, the tablet was still in cart, and when I clicked proceed to checkout around 12:50.. it says its sold out!

I think I got one. Every single step in this buying process was a super slow.
I think the 29 dollars cash back apply to this deal as well..so basically less than 100
140 - 29 = $110 can't complain for 8 inch brand tablet

Yes. Got the confirmation email from Paypal pretty much straight after the transaction at 12:25pm and the one from Acer at 1:14pm stating 3-5 days shipping.

It's not that I didn't get it. As I said, tablets are getting cheaper every day so I wasn't really fussed that I didn't buy one.
The negative vote was more directed towards the Acer Store and the fact that I and many others couldn't even access the page at all, and therefore didn't get a chance to access the deal.
The price was definitely good (especially when considering the cashback), but from my point of view, if you can't even get to the webpage to make a purchase, then it's not really a deal, is it?

I'm just wondering if the neg was as a warning…. ie Acer is a scam company
or just as a 'punishment' neg?I often wonder why people neg expired deals, and what their neg is trying to tell the community?
