For the record, I left the tab to load until my browser returned a message saying that it was unable to resolve the website. When my browser was finally able to resolve the website, the offer was already sold out.
In any case, on reflection, my negative vote perhaps falls into a grey area and doesn't strictly fall under the guidelines for issuing a negative vote. On that basis I've revoked my vote, though I still feel that the performance of the website (or lack thereof) reflects poorly on the retailer.

After 35 minutes of refreshing pages, I managed to get one with a confirmation email sent a minute afterwards. Happy to hear that some on here managed to get one too, sorry to those who missed out!

Scored one, I think. Paid by paypal and received a confirmation from them. Went back to my Acer account and there is no existing order. Have also not received any email confirmation from Acer. Do any of you guys have this problem?

Just rang their hotline and have been advised that the order has been received. They said the order did not showed up in my account as they have not received the payment notification from Paypal. Was told to call back tomorrow if still doesn't show up in the account. Advised you to do so too, bathuu.

I got confirmation from Acer that"The 14 day cashback offer will take affect when you recieve the item."
I was worried that it applied from the date when we placed the order through online.
so it's not the invoice date? How does Acer know when other resellers deliver their Acer products? IMO, it is a grey area which is left wondering.

Not happy at all, on their website, it states same day dispatch, checked the status today still showing "payment confirmed" so I rang the help center just to find out the item still in the warehouse, the operator told me the item should be send out either today or tomorrow. Bad news is I am going overseas this Friday, looks like I am going to miss out the $29 cashback. T_T
If they have dispatched the product on the same day, I should be able to receive it by Friday!!!

Just received mine today and I was surprised at how nice a product it is. It feels like a more expensive product. It's responsive with no lag and the screen is nice. One of the best gadgets I have and very very pleased. Such a great bargain thanks OZB!

I have been chasing my order since last Tuesday. I can't understand how hard it is to process only handful of paypal payments, even it is to do manually out of total of only 50 orders. Oh well, I know what sort of payment to use next time for Acer.
So far there are no confirmation email and no order trace in my Acer account (even I have been told there would be in the afternoon or next day for the each call).
I called today again and finally am given tracking number, however AusPost tracker recognizes it as an invalid tracking number. If it still shows same by tomorrow morning I am gonna bug them again.
In the end I feel like I am dealing with a some dodgy ebay seller in China, not global Acer brand who promises same day dispatch. Very poor effort by Acer Australia!!!
My tracking number was not working since last Wednesday, only this morning working just before i plan to give them a call and received it this afro.
I am running out of patience and will be calling them first thing in the morning to have a quick chat with their manager. The order was placed last Tuesday as of today, no tracking number and order trace despite the fact they have banked in my cash.
Will launch a complain with ACCC if they do not resolve the matter by tomorrow.Finally received my tablet and it is a brilliant value for $110. Now time to chase that $29.

Received mine this morning, it definitely feels very high quality. Has anyone found a way to root their tablet? The [toolkit] on xda didn't work for me.

I made unauthorized transaction against Acer on my paypal, right after I knew that I made 2 payments for 1 item. A bit hassle, need to change all my security details on Paypal but it works.

If you get item from australia ebay seller then it should be quite speedy, probably 5 working days.
By the way, how did you go with the unit? I find the screen is not as responsive as asus and samsung tablets. The speaker volume is very weak. Oh well, you cant expect more with this price.Hi doukuok
Yes I feel the same too. The screen is certainly not responsive at all. I wonder if this is a fault to the screen. I am typing this reply using this tablet and its taking me double amount of time compare to iPhone.so far not impressed I don't think I will keep this for long.I have sold it…totally not impressed coming from samsung tablet user
Terrible customer service from Acer. Went to pick up the tablet from the Acer store and it wasnt there. Waste of a trip.Now they want me to go back and pick up another one. Apparently they dont deliver from the Acer Store. Never again…

But 50 others did. I bet you were hitting the refresh button every couple of seconds. Keep on refreshing won't get you anywhere when a server is being overloaded. You have to be patient and let the pages load on their own time. When I was ordering, some of the pages took well over 2 minutes to load, but they did load eventually.
