FREE - Microsoft Office (MAC 2011/Windows 2013), Windows 7/8/8.1 [NSW Student Email Acc Needed]

190

Hi Guys,

First time poster so please be nice :). I thought it was a deal since its free but yea! I don't know when this will expire or if it ever will. Apparently this is from the NSW Education and Communities

If you have a NSW student email account i.e. [email protected] (You have to register on the website to get access)

You are eligible for the following software. [Please be aware, you can only pick one of the OS systems for Microsoft Office. (Either MAC or the Windows version, you can't have both) & same applies for the windows7/8/8.1 (You can only pick one)

  • Microsoft Office Windows Professional Plus 2013 RRP$599
  • Microsoft Office MAC 2011 RRP $169
  • Microsoft Windows 7 RRP $119
  • Microsoft Windows 8 Pro RRP $339
  • Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro RRP $399

There are other adobe software that are also free. I've tried them but they only last around a year i.e. end September/October 2015. Again you can only pick it for one OS system.

[Due to the nature of the agreement your institution signed with Adobe, the license to use Adobe Products will expire of September 01, 2015. Provided the arrangement continues and it has been at least one year since Adobe releases a new version of the product, users can come back into the system and receive a new serial number at or prior to September 01, 2015.] Something like this should pop up when you try to get it.

  • Adobe Captivate 7 [Windows/MAC]
  • Adobe Creative Design Suite 6 Design [Windows/MAC]
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 [Windows/MAC]
  • Adobe Premiere Elements 12 [Windows/MAC]
  • Adobe Presenter 9 [Windows only]

Got lazy with the RRP but yea, free software guys!

Just a note: Don't check any of the extra options about the extra 31days thing. The software is absolutely free. It merely means that the site will only store the product key for you to view for 31days. So write that product key down somewhere! I have used the windows system with my mac for bootcamp and installed the office on my mac too so i can verify that it works!

Enjoy!

You lost me at "First time poster so please be nice :)."

  • [email protected]

Wouldn't the students email address be [email protected]

    • yeah, doesn't seem to work with my uni email?

    • +1

No, all public school students in NSW have a [email protected] email address that way they have the same address throughout their school years (and TAFE years if they go on to study at TAFE).

      • Dang!! Public schools only.

      • Correct but when I moved onto TAFE my previous email became invalid (couldn't login, however it still receives emails because I set it to forward to my personal email address) and my email is now [email protected]. If you do an IT course at TAFE though (depending on campus) they let you access Dreamspark.

Is there an equivalent for victorian based uni's?

    • Yes. Deakin have one. Go see IT i suppose

How to get student email account ? :)

    • +3

study in a NSW high school.

  • WA option anybody?

  • Thanks

  • i m study in tafe and use the [email protected] seem not let me register, can anyone let me know if TAFE are eligible to get this and how thanks

    • I haven't tried this time but the last few times TAFE didn't work. Even Uni's aren't working, seems to be education.nsw.gov.au only for this.

  • Its a right attributed to school's, TAFE's Uni's and other large education facilities by Microsoft based on the licensing options the education facility chooses. Its free for the students but essentially paid for by your school.
    Still a great pick up.
