Share your data with your Doctor via email or your Withings account.

Doctors must be so happy getting spammed whenever their patient steps on a scale. Goodness me.

I get my data sent to a prince in Nigeria

      • +16

Are you sure he's still alive? Because I got an email that he passed away and they want to give me his inheritance :)

        • Looks like we both have to share it

        • $380 million worth of personal data?

    • Share your data with your Doctor via email or your Withings account.

And if you have NBN it will get there so much quicker. Just like if you listen to their hype, you will be able to upload an MRI from your home unit in milliseconds to a team of doctors who are just sitting idly by waiting for your upload to be diagnosed moments later.

But seriously, I have a couple of Fitbit Aria scales which are very similar and it uploads to my online account and keeps track of my results. Just like the occasional blood pressure readings I take. It is all there and although I mention to my doctor/chemist/dentist/proctologist that I have regular records of my vitals, they aren't particularly interested in looking at it, preferring me to give a recent approximate average reading.

Seems like a bargain and you can share your success with friends on Facebook (shudder - where does it end…)

  • I got a the WS-30 for $40 and the WS-50 for $75 from office works. I gifted the ws-30. This was about 3 weeks ago, and they'd all gone the next morning. They were on the clearance table.

The WS-50 also records body fat, air temperature and CO2 levels of the room!

    • What state/store ?

      • Newcastle.

    • thanks for letting us know :)

  • Is this better than the Xiaomi Mi Smart scale?

    • Yes, Withings is Wifi, connects directly to the net. The Xiaomi is via your Bluetooth phone only.

Great price! I bought one of these over a year ago when I posted this deal. Has been going strong ever since.
I like being able to track my weight over time using the Withings app on my phone and how it integrates with the MyFitnessPal app also.

Thanks for that post bennythejet. I got one too, and it integrates with my fitbit as well. Just recently replaced the batteries for the first time.

  • just checked - WS50's in WA there is 1 in midland and 1 in joondalup, call again if you want to make sure before you go to purchase. Couple WS30's around but i don't like how it doesn't do body fat % (yes i know these scale bf% aren't that accurate and can vary alot)

Edit: did some reading on their "air quality" measurement and it seems pretty damn gimmicky, basically just checks C02 measurements in ppm.

  • How does it detect air quality? Is it accurate or just a gimmick?

  • The WS30 is excellent, does very well exactly what it says on the box. Got 1 for a friend last year.
Just got another set from OW O'Connor for myself. There's one more left, you'll have to ask the staff for it.

I've had both scales. These are a pain to get working. You must enable wifi b. Not just N! they also break easy and over time are of by a 10kg

The aria fit bit ones I still use. Built well and support wifi N

    • I only use WIFI-N and I've owned both of these as well. Not sure what your issue has been.

      • -1

U would have the fall back option ticked.

Although I confused myself. It was the aria that didn't do the n

    • from what I can see this supports wireless b/g/n.

  • What type of batteries does this take? AA, AAA or those CR2032 coin types?

    • eneloops ;)

  • 4 X AAA

  • Hey Guys,

How do you sync the weight with the application? I set it up but when I stand on the scale, a small x is shown but the data isn't uploaded into the app?

    • For memory it take 30 - 45 minutes to update the first time.

      • Mine still hasn't updated :(

Does the x show up for you as well after you stand on it for a while?

        • wait nvm works now, just had to turn off and on the scale.

        • @maybeamacy:
You need to stand still for 4 or 5 seconds while it checks its profiles and decides who you are.
If you get on and off quickly itdisplays a weight, but also an X.

        • I remember that when I first used these (both the WS-30 and WS-50) the 'X' would show even though everything was set up and correct. After some time (by the next day) it had synced everyone's names to the unit. I remember I've also had the 'X' when the unit has been without batteries for awhile.

As long as everything is set correctly, at some point (maybe 45 mins, maybe over night) your device will show names and not an 'X'.

          It's just an initial thing.

  • I went to Jandakot WA and they said they had four still but they were being transferred to another store and I couldn't purchase.

So cross them off the list.

I got one of these (Ferntree Gully Officeworks). The last one. So happy! First time I have got a genuine Oz Bargain. What an absolute bargain. And I love it so far. Things is amazing. It can detect between different users. And it records different users weights to my Withing account over Wifi. Took a bit to setup as I use MAC address blocking on my wifi, but once setup so far it works perfectly. Even tells me when I should take an umbrella to work in the morning.

    • I just got the last one from Dee Why for $40 - it was on the floor under the clearance table, probably been there for weeks and no-one could see it! Really happy with it so far - total bargain at $40.

  • Going to return it to Underwood Officework, because I thought it has fat measurement. Anyone is interested?
