$19.95 is the USD pricing, based on previous deals it looks like this is actually $29.99 in he Aus store, but not sure, and Google cache isn't showing me what it was previously.
Great client, see earlier popular post for other feedback - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/70694

  • What is better this or Transmit?

    • +3

I have bought both a while ago. I think Transmit is better as for connecting to remote servers (UI is nicer, can integrate directly with Finder). Forklift is more of a Finder replacement (kinda like a slimmed down Path Finder).
Forklift still works great as an FTP/SFTP client, and for this price can’t go wrong.

      • Thanks for that. I use it for SFTP so was wondering if it was worth replacing.

Great app. I use it daily to

      to…?

      to…?

      TO DO WHAT?!?

      DON'T LEAVE US HANGING!!!

I look forward to using this to

Oh, how I hate you and everything you stand for.

      • Maybe he had an aneurism, or their cat got run over out the front of their house. Maybe their mum made them go to school. Please, please don't judge!

    • …well???!!!!…

I mistyped! I move files around rename search etc… you know 'file manager' type stuff!

This is Version 2. Version 3 is just around the corner…. I am currently using the Beta 3 which is great (available from their twitter account)…

    • Just installed Beta 3.. thanks!

  • Looks good. I'm using Pathfinder from Cocotech, but this looks pretty good.

Cyberducky has always been a frre FTP client i use.

    • I used to use that, but far preferred ForkLift after trying aeons ago, can't remember why I found it so much better, it's been too long. Tranmit as per the first reply looks to be free to, and that has a nice looking UI.

    • +1 for CyberDuck and its lack of cost.

Thought this was a forklift game ):

  • Thanks, got it.

  • Thanks OP. I just installed and did a quick comparison to Yummy Pro and Forklifts UI is nicer. SFTP transfer speeds are about the same.

Thankyou. Been looking for something better than that awful Cyberduck.

  • No one's heard of FileZilla?

    • Of course but you can't use FileZilla as a decent Finder replacement.

  • This doesn't allow ntfs support does it? Anyone know of a free utility that allows NTFS write?

  • Personally I use Xtrafinder which is free but I like how Forklift opens up 2 windows side by side for easy transfer of files. I'd pay for Xtrafinder if it was on the Mac store, can't believe Apple still doesn't bother with tabs to make things a lot easier

    • can't believe Apple still doesn't bother with tabs to make things a lot easier

      Tabs in what?

      • Tabs in Finder. Think of Chrome when you need multiple windows without the mess

        • Finder has had tabs since Maverick, 3 years ago.

        • It can be hard to keep tabs on all the new features at times ;)
