Can possibly use with this also for who else registered?

    • +2

of course - and this as well if you're lucky enough to have it :)

      • +2

Yes with those lucky people :)

  • "Cannot be used if photocopied or replicated."

Previous I have had no luck with scanning barcodes from my phone. Has anyone managed at woolies?

    • I've got a redmi and it never works on any scanners. Previously s5 worked a charm.

      • Plus 1 on the sg s5

      • Is your brightness turned all the way up?

        • It's usually quite bright, but I've tried Max brightness on Ikea scanners with no luck.

      • My redmi always works on scanners. Maybe try go to Settings > Display > Colors & contrast > Increased contrast.

I think you just have to hold the phone steady and move it closer and further from the scanner.

        • Thanks will try. Also I constantly keep in reading mode. Could try reading mode off.

      • Similar situation, Mi Note Pro currently and previously Xperia Z2. Both work well.

As long as it's 1080p (or even maybe 720p?) it should work. Make sure you're using an app like KeyRing that can reproduce the barcode, rather than attempting to scan a zoomed photocopy/photo.

    • Yes, depends on your scanner at your local woolies. Only the new scanners can read barcodes from phones. Otherwise, you can always print it out and scan it, that's foolproof provided the staff member doesn't need to verify your barcode.

      • +2

If you are using a samsung phone, then use Beep'nGo to create a card with the barcode

    • I think that warning note is to stop people sharing the barcode.

Also it depends if the scanner is new or not. The old ones require the barcode to be printed which use a laser or something (I'm not 100% on the technical details).

The new ones use an optical sensor, so as long as it looks like a barcode (like on your phone) it will work.

    • Have scanned off my iphone using self checkout. Gave to check out girl to use on her register and didnt work.

      • Yes I have scanned barcodes off my phone too

    • +1

I always use Paywave at Woolies, and damned if I'm going to stuff another rewards card into my wallet, or mess around pulling out an extra card at the checkout. I just photocopied the rewards barcode, cut it down to minimum workable size, and taped it to the back of my credit card.
Never had a problem with it at any scanner. No reason why I couldn't get my wife and family to all use the same barcode either.

        • +1

+1 stocard works everywhere for me except the really old scanners at my local Shell petrol station.

        • @hypie:

have you ever gotten it to "login" to any card/rewards program?

        • @CVonC:

          Haha only flybuys…

I don't know my passwords… and I am too lazy.

        • @hypie:

i know all my passwords but i can't log into anything. not even flybuys :/

      • ha! I thought I was the only one who copies the rewards barcode (and others) to a minimum workable size :)

  • Hopefully this one isn't a disappointment and can be used with the $10 off from PayPal

  • A previous deal like this worked for me in TAS when shopping online.

  • does 2000 reward points = 2000 qantas points?

    • +1

      No

    • +3

      I wish! 2000 points = $10 = 870 QFF points

      • Ok thanks :)

  • +1

what if i buy a mixture of groceries and a gift card like Myer or DJ? would it work?

    • These deals always change. .or maybe WW has caught on and successfully prevented.

I tried this with the last "spend $100 get points" deal and it didn't work. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try again! Lol

    • +3

Just bought some groceries and a Myer gift card, scanned the code, said on the screen - barcode scanned and stored.
No extra points at all. Looks like WWS has permanently fixed this. NOT HAPPY.

If you are using a samsung phone, then use Beep'nGo to create a card with the barcode

Coupon code is generic same number. The PDF I got for being a shareholder has the exact same number. Single use only so not sure if it can be used for multiple $100+ shops being the same code from everybody or if its possibly becomes tied to your Rewwards card after the first use so it can't be used again for additional $100+ shops?

2,000 Bonus Woolworths Rewards Points with $100+ Spend PDF coupon

    • possibly becomes tied to your Rewwards card after the first use so it can't be used again for additional $100+ shops?

likely this unless someone says/said otherwise from previous deal :)

    • Last one was tied to rewards card.

  • Does this stack with cashrewards cashback for new customers?

  • I used the code for my groceries over $100 combine it with Amex offer spent $100 get $20. However, they run of stock and refund me few dollars, so it brings my spending below $100. The receipt Woolworths provided doesn't mention anything about 2000 bonus point. not sure am I getting the 2000 bonus WW point + $20 rebate from amex or not.

  • Damn.. no Opal recharge

  • +2

I just placed an order 5 minutes ago!!! I checked what coupons were listed on OzB and this didn't come up. Grrrrrr!

    • +1

sorry to hear - better check deals not coupons in future - in the meantime, re-order and cancel original :)

  • Worked a treat in store. Thanks :)

  • I used it for an online order and it said the code was successfully applied, but it didn't update the number of points? When do the points get credited to my account?

    • Yep was also wondering the same.

    • Did you end up getting the points?

    • +5

Guys, I had the same problem after putting my order through online. I do not see the bonus points and have subsequently contacted Woolworth Rewards via online chat. They had to credit the points manually for some reason.

I urge that you make contact, because there should be no delay in getting your 2000 points.
      Good luck.

      • Cheers mate will do and thanks for replying.

      • I had the same issue, the online chat person said it's a known issue for them. No problems getting my points manually credited (appeared in my account within a few minutes)

  • same question for me.

  • This expires 30/11, does that mean it can be used multiple times? or is it a one time use per rewards card?

    • used it for tonight for the 1st time - will let you know if it works on the next shop

      • used mine tonight too, said i earned 2,222 points when i spent over $300, doesn't that mean I should of earned 2,300+ points?

  • Has anyone used this code in WA? My friend says he did not receive points after shoping at Eaton WA

    • No points here either. I ordered online.

  • Has anyone who ordered online received their points?

  • +1

Woolworths never had so many shareholders!

  • Unless they allow Opal recharge, I don't have anything to buy for $100

    • +2

SO you never buy any groceries?

  • I made a purchase online on 19/10/16 using the code, still no bonus point for me in the account. I don't even recieve my base point neither.

    • +2

Angelbaby, I have responded to someone else with the same problem in the chain above. I urge that you make contact, because there should be no delay in getting your 2000 points.
      Good luck.

  • Just for info, I tried to use this again on the weekend and didn't get anything, so seems to be a one time thing and probably tied to the WR/EDR card. Still a great deal though ;)

    • +3

If you click on the flyer it says: Single use only.

So best to use another WR/EDR card if you can - e.g. husband, wife.

      • I'm aware of that, a few were suggesting it might work more than once, it doesn't.

T&C's don't always reflect exactly what occurs at a given store or promo.

  • 2000 rewards points = How much value in dollars at Woolworths?

    • +1

It will get you $10 off your next shop.
Or you can transfer it out for 870 QFF points.

      • Awesome! So it's basically 10% off if the spend was $100. One needs to have Rewards card. Right? I don't have the card yet.

        • +1

Yes that's right. You will need a card also. If you look at the terms and conditions it says if you get a temporary card the bonus will be added when you register the card.

  • I used this coupon and the POS and receipt said the 2000 points were included in my sales but they were never credited to my account. When I look at my reward account online, the only record of points is for the items I brought. No 2000 points or $10 credit. Has anyone else actually received the points/credit to their account?
