Kuala Lumpur from Perth $160, Brisbane $344 One Way with Malindo

350

A full service, no bullshit Airline who do not charge a CC fee. 'Check-thru' KUL onto other destinations for +$20 eg Langkawi, Penang, Phuket, Hanoi, HCM 'and more' as the promo states.
Book by July 16, Travel period:July 15- March 31.
Other deals as well… like Brissie/Perth to Bali… but you go check- I've done more than enough…
Have only flown with them once- that was KUL to Bali and, honestly, I praised the staff upon disembarking. They were genuinely friendly, genuinely happy to be aboard- not like the stuck up hosties/men hosties on other carriers.
As always… happy holiday…

      sarcasm?

      • Guessing you didn't click the "See Airline & Safety Ratings" button. 6 out of 7 stars for safety. The issue is with the service provided, which is what you saw.

I've flown them a few times in Business out of Perth. No complaints. While they regard themselves as a Full-Fare airline, treat it like a LCC and you'll be right.

        • Ahh I see.

Misleading safety ratings because Malindo is owned by Lion Group which has a very bad track record for safety.

          Look it up everyone :)

        • I'm all for a good deal, but I wouldn't touch anything that Lion Air is involved with, given their safety record.
          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion_Air

        • @skittlebrau: As evident by the fact that it has been removed from the EU Ban list, they have stepped up in their safety record. Qantas has had more recent safety scares than Lion have.

  • It's almost worth going for the weekend

  • tried several dates but cant find any for 160

  • +1

This is the Schapelle Corby airline.

  • +5

Malindo is also the worlds first operator of the 737 MAX. So there's a chance you get to be one of the first to ride on one of those.

    • +8

Waiting for the 737 ZERO er, NO SUGAR.

  • +6

Here is the full schedule of fares.

Note that the $160 is ONLY from Perth, and not from Brisbane, so please update the details of the deal & the title.

Promo page states 'Fly from Perth+Brisbane to Kuala Lumpur'$160..
I posted the deal from their website and that website still states this.
      Deal and title stet.

      • +2

that's pretty below average posting if that's your reasoning

      • -5

"Hurr durr I posted it, therefore it's true".

Contrary to your flawed logic OP, the title has been changed to reflect correct pricing. Nice deal if you're unlucky enough to live in that stinking hovel known as "Perf" but $344 one way ex BNE isn't that crash hot.

In reply: whaaaa haaaa I won't waste my breath or data!

        • @binatang: Wow dude you’re sad

  • Not thing from the east coast?

    • Only Brisvegas.
They fly the narrow body Boeing 737 - Brisbane to Denpasar (Bali) then to Kuala Lumpur.

  • Looked in September and couldn't find any flights matching the price,

  • +1

I like Malindo, their in flight entertainment is lagy and incapable of playing back video although most of their planes are brand new!

Have flow with them many times, love them.

  • -5

At least their planes don't just dissappear like malay airlines.

    • it's MALAYSIA airline to be exact if that what was you were talking about?

      • Maling-sial airlines they call it.

        • and what does that mean?

  • +1

Will I run into Schapelle Corby if I fly with Malindo?

    • +1

You're not allowed to run on planes

  • never fly with unknown airlines such as Indonesian ones.
    Only Garuda passed safety audit.

    • +1

Malindo ( A joint venture of a Malaysian company National Aerospace & Defense Industry and Lion Air-Indonesia) commenced operations 2013 and have an excellent safety record. So 4 yrs no disasters.
Garuda were banned from flying into European airspace from 2007-2009.

      • +4

So a shit airline and a corrupt government, cool. FWIW without a second thought I would fly Garuda over the unknown any day of the week, and have chosen them over Lion in Indo many many times.

Using your logic - I haven’t been to hospital in the last 4 years, so I have an impervious safety record into the future too?

        • +1

Wtf is people so angry for, if you don't want to fly Malindo than don't.

        • I reckon his logic is far more logical than yours. 😏

        • +1

@TightAl: Not angry, just pointing out how ridiculous OP is being :P And I gladly won’t! This isn’t even a deal ex-Brisbane.

  • Yeh nah.

Full service, unless you want your baggage.

Over 60 passengers aboard an Malindo Air flight from Bali to Brisbane have been left stranded without their baggage after the airline left it behind….. The flight was scheduled to leave .but was delayed for two hours … On board, all three toilets were also out of action, as Malindo Air technical staff fixed that issue as well.
