Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse (Stone) for $45 @ Officeworks

570

I was able to buy a couple of these awesomely great mice for $45 each at the Sydney City JB-HiFi (where they have plenty of stock)

These are run out being replaced by a MX Master 2S, the MX Master is a really nice mouse works on any surface and unusual for Logitech supports Bluetooth as well as the LT dongle (3 BT devices selectable from the mouse)

Currently priced at $62.30 @ JB (down from RRP of around $120) I got the store guy to price match the OfficeWorks sale price at $45, (Office works is out of stock, don't mention this)

https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/accessories/logi…
The store guy gave me a print out with the price match number, took it to the counter with 2 and paid $90 for both.

Worth a try if you are in the market for one of these

  • It's pretty much out of stock at every Officeworks store.

The only way to get this is to price-match at JB before they realise/bother to care.

  • Will Harvey Norman price match or does it need to be in stock for them to do it?

  • JB will not match it.

    • did for me when i showed the office works sale on my ipad (I had to get the stone colour though)

      URL is here: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-m…

      • Hmm. My local JB has some sort of policy where they can price match if they can view it from their devices. Not sure if it follows for every branch.

JB price matched for me, absolutely great mouse for almost everything. But unfortunately for me it's too heavy for FPS online gaming. Went back to using my old wired gaming mouse.

    • Sorry should have said this is a heavy productivity mouse not a gaming mouse

    • +1, great for productivity, average for gaming. I didn't buy it for gaming though

  • How do we customise buttons on this when we cannot install logitech software at work?

    • With my Logitech G502 there's an option to save your custom settings to the mouse rather than the PC from the Logitech software. Might be worth a shot from your home PC

      • Thanks will try. I have one of this and want to buy another one if I can get customisation work.

      • I've been using every version of their flagship wireless mouse at work since around 2008 and changed jobs 4 times with the prior 2 employers allowing custom installations on their machines (without permission) and the last 2 since 2010 are completely blocked. Despite early disappointment and a desire to find a way to install the manufacturer software, I have found it very easy to use these mice by just adjusting the Windows sensitivity settings etc. and not noticed loss of precision or functionality. The back, forward and scroll(2) features seem to work OK, which is generally all I need to navigate MS Office and web based content but others might prefer to get the most out of it and not be as content. Perhaps I may have inadvertently stored some settings when used or setup initially on my own PCs but saving to the mouse as suggested sounds like a smart option. Its just hard to complain for $45. I bought the stone as a spare for $59 at JBH the other week but the black at this price is just too good to pass up. Wired mice always better for games though - work is a different matter.

Gret mouse it is. I spent more than AU$105.00 last year for it. Love it because with just a push of a button it connect to my another computer so I dont have to have two mice on the desk.

@regenade: from what I know, it's variable from item to item, I don't have the receipt anymore but it definitely varies cause I got the black ath-m50x for $130 even though they got it for $249 https://imgur.com/a/eDol8

Edit: my mate works at the store

Yesterday one JB Hifi wouldnt price match this after the sales guy fully investigated the OW website. Happened to go by another JB today and the guy did it zero questions asked (they were quite busy). Funny the inconsistancy but I'm happy.

I'm still waiting for my M705 to die, it's been 6 years or so (batteries included) and it still comes up with ~60% battery left. Daily office use, can't kill it. Never changed the batteries, they expired 2-3 years ago.

  • Have the local Harvey Norman guys price-matched the gold color one. I am in Cairns by the way. There was one more left in store :)

  • JB Belmont won't price match this. The manager said it was due to the differences in colour of the mouse. They only stock the white stone one. Oh wells, it was worth a try.

Any one care share a receipt please?
