$25 off 1st Bill, $25 off after 12 and 23 Months at Q Energy

STELEQE02

QEnergy offering $75 off its lowest rate in a deal brokered by me for The Sunday Telegraph. I have identified QEnergy as the cheapest power retailer on the market for NSW families. Compared to AGL's standing offer there's a saving to be made of as much as $1000 for a four-person household. The Telegraph doesn't make a commission or fee. Nor do I. FAQs at the bottom of this story provide further detail.

"While he worked on fixing addressing this, we asked the Australian Energy Regulator to identify the cheapest power rat"

Typo in the first few paragraphs. It's a pity they offshored your sub-editors.

Edit: Also, thanks for doing the leg work on this. Energy comparison shopping is tough even for the average Top Mind here at ozb, so you've done a service for the tele readers.

All I can say is do your own research.

It maybe a better idea to find one of the cheapest retailer for your energy but not the cheapest. As some are cheap & nasty and have bad customer service.

    • For me the search ended with dodo. I got 24.952 cents per kWh excluding GST with their 20% discount for on-time payment and then called them after a few months to switch to another retailer (Red) and they gave another 10% discount to 21.833 cents. I haven't seen any retailer beat this one in NSW.

      • yeah, I'm with red energy as well.

Also note call centre for Red Energy is in Australia.

        Q energy is in Philippines

      • I pay 16.42c per kwH in VIC (incl GST and after the silly % off discount). What is your daily supply charge? As that is also a significant factor. % off is meaningless unless you work out what it equates to in c/kwh.

      • Hi Baxo,

Your 21.833 c/kWh - is that inc GST?

        Are you in NSW?

Made contact with Dodo, and they werent even offering your original 24.952.

        Cheers

  • Advertorial? I appreciate the research, but aren’t advertorials meant to disclose that they’re an advertorial?

    This is Ozbargain not OzStoryTime.

  • What is the solar fit?

  • As fyi, Amaysim has pretty good rates depending on your usage and 18c FiT.
