This was posted 2 years 4 months 22 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal

Some Logitech Mice, Keyboards, Webcams, Headsets and Cooling Pads are able to claim 100% cashback from Feb 1
see the website here
http://www.logitechcashback.com.au
still not a bad deal - given that after cashback, you essentially get the product for free
The stickers are on ALL the products at Dick Smith Arndale - and on the sticker it says, "Purchase me and receive 100% cashback". The upload is a photo of the sticker itself. I got excited as I thought I could pick up a logitech steering wheel with the cash back, but upon upon further investigation, I can see that only a limited number of products are included in this deal.
Only applies to these old models but 5 per household is not bad.
M100 wired mouse
M215 wireless mouse
K200 keyboard
C200/C210 web cam
Clearchat style headset
MK250/MK260 wireless combo
N100/N120 cooling pad

As at 30/01/2011 midnight, this deal has 2246 click throughs. Assuming others out there know about the deal, consider what happens if 3000 people have made purchases
$300,000 is available for the cashback. If there are just 3,000 customers, so far, who know about the deal, that's about $100 each.
So, just a heads up there is a chance you won't get a cashback

i guess i was the laziest ozbargainer. From day 1 i knewi would be doing my shopping online. Had the items sitting in my cart on officeworks.com.au only 2find out 2day they are out of stock or backorder.
decided to shop around on dicksmith but they didn't have m215's online so got those from jbhififor $19 each. All up:
2x mk250
2x m215
1x n100All up $177.00 fully claimed.
All this while sitting at home. Go internet power.
+6 votesThat was fun.. went down at 11 to hardly normal, bargained down the price a bit, then claimed at the net cafe next door. :)then spent the day in the library (mmmm air conditioning)
total cost: $1 for print out of claim form and postage :) (minus cashback of course :P)
chansthename on 01/02/2011 - 15:38 ¶for fun? It's great seeing how low they are willing to go, and look at the plus side, more people get hte offer if each person paid less (In my defence DSE was the only store selling these products in my area, no OW/JB etc)
+1 voteI guess the priority now is for Logitech to inform all retailers that the deal has ran out of money and encourage all staff to alert potential customers before they buy. That will be the best way to prevent people whinging to ACCC which I'm sure will happen anyway.
Unfortunatley that only means that companies will not dare to run promos like these again. So complain, and no one gains anything.

"Unfortunatley that only means that companies will not dare to run promos like these again. So complain, and no one gains anything."
how true for the future, but not so for the lucky buggers who snapped up the 300k in record time today!
my figure of 50% cashback was just an example, my point was, at what figure do you think most ozbargainers would still shop around for the lowest price, 60%? 70%? 80% i think @90% most wouldn't be bothered on a stinkin hot day like today(Sydney) and just buy at any price
+1 voteMark Heath on 01/02/2011 - 15:53 ¶The longest discussion by far since I've registered. Good job guys :)
I've put a couple of links up in the epic threads thing on the wiki :)
Mark Heath on 01/02/2011 - 16:15 ¶lol, i was about to say… not many people come to vote on expired deals :P
chansthename on 01/02/2011 - 19:30 ¶But if you remember the cadbury hack was not beating mugs last I checked (before today) but it got enough votes to beat it sometime after the majority of people left it.
Mark Heath on 01/02/2011 - 20:38 ¶idk, mugs is pre-registration/lurking for me :) Although I do remember both of those threads… I guess we'll see..

went to DSE as you can reserve the item. so you know when you turn up its there.
didn't really have time to run around and try and find shops which had what i wanted.
espcially in the city things sell out very fast!they did over charge my friend though was reaserve for $34.95 online and that's what the paperwork said but they charge him $50. he didn't notice was too busy trying to get back to fill in the claim form!
maybeamacy on 01/02/2011 - 16:05 ¶I reserved but someone took my cooling pad from out back but they gave me someone elses so it's all good. The other guy reserved like 3 of them anyway.
+3 votesI did the same, and they charged me 34.95 as per reserved price of yesterday. And I actually added another 1 for friend in store 5 minutes later, initially they charge 49.95, but after I asked, she agreed to decrease the price to 34.95. I know it's cash back anyway, but it will reduce the risk if we fail to claim, as well as helping more people claim theirs. It's because of outrageous price of DSE (most of prices are double the OW), that many people missed out. How sad.

Yeh that's how I looked at it. The shops lifting prices, is just lowering the chances of no. of claims.
Don't really like the practice of raising prices just so they can make more because they know about the promotion. They are getting more sales then they would have otherwise, that should be a bonus. Charging more means less people can claim. They are taking a chunk of the promotion reward that I thought was aimed consumers.
Don't know if it was just DSE or any others, have only read a few posts.
Kudos to the stores that didn't up the prices. Respect to you. You helped more people have a chance.I didn't bother with this as there was nothing I needed.

great effort! a visit to www.logitechcashback.com.au would have told you the same info.
+3 votesxxnakazatoxx on 01/02/2011 - 16:25 ¶Some douche bought all 11 mk250's at kmart and 4 webcams around 1pm, I just wanted 1. Hope he didn't get home in time to claim them. All up he spent over $500.
jasonchen59 on 01/02/2011 - 16:25 ¶hi,guys, just wondering i claimed my items in the morning, but i didn't print the claim form because i was using my phone. now i get home, anyone know how can i print the claim form which i couldn't find it. is the email from mail@keywayplatform.com ??? thanks guys

I suggest that you just print out your email (mail@keywayplatform.com is correct) as it contains the same info as the claim form. Maybe put a note explaining why you haven’t got the claim form.

RRP is "recommended" retail price. We live in a free market for most goods/services. Retailers can charge as much or as little as they like. Customers are free to shop elsewhere if they don't like a retailer/their pricing. Logitech (as a supplier) can't control the retail price for obvious reasons.
+1 voteControlling supply/authorised retailers or setting a wholesale price is different to controlling the retail price (In Aust it's illegal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_fixing#Australia).
We also have different rules in relation to parallel importing in order to benefit consumers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_import#Australia) and as a tactic against suppliers trying to control our market (the scenario you described).

What you're thinking of is when some retailers, take down sale signs before a % off sale or a save $x sale so you aren't really saving the true % off, which is illegal. Like what some Good Guys in QLD got caught doing. This is just changing the sell price of a product. However, if the product is currently being advertised at a sale price and they sell it for more than that, then action can be taken.
It's not illegal to sell anything above RRP. It's stupid, but not illegal. Otherwise it would be a FIXED retail price, not RECOMMENDED.
jasonchen59 on 01/02/2011 - 16:52 ¶i got 2 seperate receipts claimed, can i mail 2 seperate receipts in a envelope to them?
+8 votesNow we have more reason to fix the "jump to new comments" Ozbargain feature over multi-page threads (for registered users), either that or please give us the option to have one long page so the new comment highlight works correctly ;-) (Ref: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/15980)

depends on what their refund policy is (i don't know). ring them or see if anything is on the website regarding refunds.
found this:
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/documents/corporate/_2010-12-01_1-0...
30 day 100% refund for unopened packages according to the document.
joshptyltd on 01/02/2011 - 17:29 ¶Thanks flash007 for the great deal and also to logitech! I got an mk250, c200, and n100. There weren't any m215's. If anyone has one they don't need, feel free to send me one:p ozbargain rules!!!

joshptyltd on 01/02/2011 - 18:22 ¶Well, you're getting it for free. If you don't need it, i was looking at a price of $0.00 including GST ;) PM/whim me if you're interested ;) Would really appreciate one of these.
EDIT: I would pay about $8 for the shipping if you don't live near me(south western sydney), but I'm just a few months short of 18, so i don't have a credit card.
POWERevolution on 01/02/2011 - 19:00 ¶i was looking at a price of $0.00 including GST ;)
LOL you must be dreamming!
You got other 3 (mk250, c200, and n100) and still want more?
-1 votejoshptyltd on 01/02/2011 - 19:44 ¶@POWERevolution In case you couldn't tell from the 'including GST ;)', I was being a little sarcastic. The fact that's it was only a minimal dose of sarcasm means there's still a slight chance of someone willing to give away unwanted items. And do remember that some people have sent items to relatives' addresses with the aim of collecting them for themselves, and some have bought more than one of the same item. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled at getting 3 items for absolutely nothing.
EDIT: You yourself got 5 items. Weren't you happy with just buying 3?? Exactly. Being ozbargainers, we all want to take full advantage of deals.
@issh I'm enjoying the cool breeze of the n100 right now. Sorry :)
McLarenMercedes on 01/02/2011 - 17:38 ¶I got mk250, c200, and m215. Happy to swap either of them for a N100. I'm in the ACT.
+2 votesI don't think this deal should be classified as "expired" yet
as in T&C, if your mail does not arrive by 14 days after you claim, you will not get the claimbut what i want to ask is,
what happens to those who claimed and had their letters lost through mail and/or dud cashbacks, what will logitech do with the dud/lost cashbacks?
Does logitech disregard them and mark then as non-cashback and put the balance back up or do they just leave the counter at $0, if they did add balance back up, for those who missed the deal, you could still have a chance(even though it is small, it still is a chance)
+2 votesBe very careful when you shop at HN. You can return unopened goods that you bought for store credit only. And the credit can only be used for the same department as different department maybe belong to a different franchisee. Eg. you return the Logitech keyboard which is in computer department, then you can only use the credit in computer department and not other department. Please also note that the credit can only be used in that store and not other HN. Never spend your money there unless it's the cheapest and you really want the goods.
POWERevolution on 01/02/2011 - 19:04 ¶Got these @Dicksmith but to pricey…
N100 $59.95
MK250 $49.95
Headset $39.95
M215 $28.97
K200 $19.95

yep the moment people are required to pay more than nothing for something, their interest exponentially dwindles :)
If it was say 90%, people would have sought better deals and only bought items they may have used.
